It’s okay to be chubby, not everyone has to go to the gym 24/7. However, if it gets to a point where you have to ask for 2 airplane seats then that’s something to consider. People tend to forget that obesity leads to many other health concerns and it’s not all about looking good and being confident, it’s about how your body feels.

this is so true - as a Fat person, I used to consume a lot but over the time I haven't eaten as much and more focused on when I should each or how much I should eat. From doing that cycle I lost over 10 pounds and my weight has been dropping over the course of time. Yet I still remain fat although I don't rlly know how much I weigh.

I used to be obese (close to morbid). And you're right! You can't run, you can't jump, you can't climb, you can basically do nothing but walk and exhaust yourself over the first slope incoming... Ok I have a story. So, I fucked up my metabolism due to ED (I had bulimia and compulsive overeating for a long time). I gained a remission but one day I understood that I weigh 80kgs. My normal weight is 58-63kgs. And I was like WTF GIRL. I'm trying to eat a lot of proteins, workout, eat rather healthy food, even though it's very difficult for me. I also have a lot of health issues(esp with thyroid) that make it more difficult. And I'm so concerned about this people who will probably die young because they have no willpower and believe that everything is fine with their body. Yes, it is very difficult to accept that you are fat. Yes, it is very difficult to stop overeating when you have mental illness. But it's very important...

No one gets annoyed about anyone trying to go healthy, idek what you mean. I've never seen someone obese tell someone they're a dick for trying to be healthy. Acknowledging you are fat and using that for clout is cringe. Most "fat" people would congratulate someone for trying to go healthy. Sometimes, obesity isn't by choice too. Maybe some people don't have the money to get healthy dishes since most health-friendly foods are higher price. That might resort those people to foods that are cheaper, like fast food or less-healthy choices at a grocery store. A lot of obese people also have eating disorders, causing them to eat much more.

20:06 Pool lifts are real!! Basically their little chairs attached to a machanic arm, someone who is handicapped and cant swim/walk into the pool can then sit in those chairs and activate the arm which then lowers them into the pool.
The chairs are usually small and have a weight limit so idk how this lady would use one 💀

I do not get why people have the need to say "you can't stop me from glorifying being fat" like no, I do not care. We have pool lifts in most of our local pools, so they are a thing and quite common at least where I live. They are primarily used for people with mobility issues so that those who can’t use the stairs or pool ladder can still swim 🏊♀️. Swimming is an amazing recovery exercise as it’s gentle on the body and adaptable in how vigorous it is, which is why I’m kinda in agreement with her that most public pools should have them, as they can be an amazing tool to people with mobility issues, injury, or other issues that would benefit from them swimming.

I, sir, have seen a pool lift, however, in my experience, they are used for the elderly and disabled, not a bunch of chunkies too lazy to go on a walk, and become healthier.
The part where she talked about not needing strollers and wheelchairs is actually really unnecessary and uncomfortable because I struggle with standing/walking for too long or I'll faint, it just makes my skin crawl idk why im js sensitive.
I also think the skinny and exercise=fatphobic is dumb because some people have medical issues about weight where you can't gain weight as much as you eat.
Idk if this will help but while standing don't lock your knees instead have a slight bend in it

My dad always taught me to never take the easy way out. When i was young i didnt understand why he told me that. After watching this im glad he said that.
I was overweight as a kid and bullied hardcore for it to the point that from being 60kg as a tiny 9yo I became 54kg and had abs at 12 from how much it affected me. now im healthy and when I notice im getting out of shape I get right back into it cuz I dont wanna suffer the health and social problems. got a problem then find a solution and lying to yourself isn't one

I never understand how people say they have restrictive eating disorders when they are morbidly obese... How... How does that work? Restricting to a level that qualifies as an "eating disorder" - a literal *disorder* which means it's having an adverse affect on your weight - being underweight/your health/your mental well being/your life etc - it means you don't/can't let yourself eat enough... Something isn't adding up.

It means that ANY sugar not burned is turned to fat, it is very difficult to be 'thin' or anything with this, not saying everyone should use this as an excuse for obesity, I'm saying that you should just be aware that not everything is as easy for one person as it is for another

Acceptance and acommodation in America has gone to far. When I went to Japan I couldn't eat at some restaraunts for not speaking Japanese. In America we're supposed to be able to let people who can't walk through the doorframe get whatever they "need" to be able to do what they want.
