its always a bit of a gamble buying older collections because people always assume certain cards have value when they're just bulk But you seemed to have gotten some value out of it which is good!
im also in the the process of buying someone's childhood collection from the tcg first came to the uk. im waiting for them to dig the collection out sounds like its a decent size to. no idea what to expect from it either :3

I really like older cards. I used to buy damaged to heavy play cards all the time from eBay. It’s a nice way to collect what you want without breaking your bank ❤

A few decent money cards and the Millenium Shield made this worth it for you. Also like you pointed out you got to make a video out of it for all of us to enjoy.

Personally, any " childhood collection " I would expect most cards to not be in great shape. However, $400 for the set wasn't that bad considering the cards you got for it. I believe approximately 250 or so would have been more accurate if you examined the cards before purchase.

Looks like a break even/some profit kinda buy, but the nostalgia and love for these cards is so real and palpable that it's was totally worth it, in my opinion. Glad you're likely gonna make some money, Rux, but sad to see 'em go.

Those vertical sticker came in yugioh lollipops back in the day. They were wrapped right around it. I still have my childhood binder covered in them
