IF YOU READ THE LITERATURE THAT COMES WITH THE KANPAI the company clearly states in 2-3 places that the drinking lid is NOT designed for transporting liquids, and it will leak.
I don't use mine as a daily coffee sipper, I use it mainly for multi-day treks in the winter to store hot coffee or hot water (to put inside my Western Mountaineering bag for extra warmth). In this case, the Kampai bottle performs flawlessly. I would give it 5 stars for thermos use. I do think Snow Peak ought to differentiate this product as an outdoor thermos (w/hot and cold lids); and have a separate Ti bottle for daily coffee use/drinking that doesn't have the above flaw.
Well said. Again I use this mug daily as a sipper, despite its tendency to leak. If I ever did use the lids I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint. ...now and again the leaking issue does mean spilled coffee... I certainly hope my video serves as a humble but fair warning. Cheers.
Yeah, but a lot of people looking at titanium would also be interested in light weight and minimalist design for travel. For those people a sipping cap that can also be used for transport makes a lot of sense.
Thank you for sharing your opinion. I personally prefer the design of the Snow Peak bottle (lids included) and I would suggest that people still consider buying the bottle since it is intended for outdoor use: thus the various lids. Additionally, I think that there is something to be said for supporting a company that prioritizes craftsmanship.
Hello. Maybe a little long winded = thumbs down. Who knows. Still drink my coffee out of it almost every day...I'm just well aware of the leak potential.

Totally love your passion and concern you nailed this flaw !

Good stuff 🎉 enjoy😊
I own an insane amount of snow peak and I appreciate this as I was about to buy one! Hopefully they redesign it soon.
Cheers.
It's a sipping cap, Einstein. You use the other cap for transport. Klean Kanteens are the same way.

I have this bottle and find it so hard to open when filled with hot liquids. OMG it’s like it vacuumed itself shut
NoFailureAllowed that’s because the heat does seal it shut with pressure
I guess that’s a good thing. I think these things are certified for like a whole day
nice and enjoy

ironvo2max hey there, is it leakproof with the white lid? thank you!
@@coprophagicnecrophil4082 Yes. Both lids are nice and tight screw downs.
Starbucks on the trail? No.
