Great garlic growth and harvest! It’s good to know the plants will grow as they should if we make an error planting a clove upside down😀
The one upside down is one of the larger bulbs
Nice harvest
Thank you sir
You grew baseballs ⚾️. Lol
A little bigger than a baseball ball smaller than a softball. When they finish curing I’m going to do a video showing them in comparison with the baseball ⚾️ and softball 🥎. I think that will have more of a wow factor. Thanks for the message.
Nice harvest 😊🎉
Thanks 👍
😲 DAAAAANG!!! That's my kind of garlic!!! I'm so jealous!! My garlic is the size of those corns. 😭😂🫤
I have lots of planting videos. Take a look. Maybe try will help

What an awesome harvest, TFS!!!
great looking garlic.
Thanks for watching
So awesome!
Im still a month away from seeing how mine is.
I have 2 other beds that I didn’t show. Over 200 bulbs this year. That’s 800 planted in the fall. Projection is for over $100k inventory in 2026…. Your largest candy roaster is about 18 inches long right now. Too much opportunity with this social media. I’m just using my imagination brother….
@growingoutthebox wow awesome!
Yes that roaster can get to 25 pounds ..it turns from yellow to a peachy orange with green stripes..then can cure months!
I'm so thrilled you able to not 9nly teach and share your love of gardening..but can thrive at it!
👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾👊🏾💚
Awesome garlic harvest! ❤🧄❤
Thank you! 😊
Yes Sir - that’s some harvest!
Thank you 👍🏽
Wonderful harvest.
Thank you so much Amarie
That's a GREAT harvest right there, Sir😁👍🏾 I'm definitely buying some from you. Will you be doing a video on how you prep that bed for your next crop? I'd like to see that. Always searching for more knowledge and wisdom doing this gardening thing😉👉🏾
I have videos on planting as well as care. The harvest was the last part
@@growingoutthebox my bad. I meant prepping it for the beans you're planting next. I'll go through your videos and check out the one for prepping because my garlic or onions didn't come out right this year 😞
Amazing harvest! 🧄😊
Thanks for visiting
Where do you get your elephant garlic starts? Which grow zone are you in? Beautiful harvest ❤
This is my 4th generation. I will list a few before fall on growingoutthebox.com I’m in Georgia zone 8A

Hi can you do a video of how and when to cure your elephant garlic harvest?
I sure will
That last one did it for me. Upside down works.
It did it for me too! 👌🏽
Peace and love to you my friend from Western North Carolina
Thanks so much, NC! 🙌🏽😊
So I just pulled my 1st Elephant garlic harvest. You explained that the corns take 2 years to produce, but when do you plant them? So I am guessing they don't clove until the 2nd year? I bought cloves and planted in November like you did.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Yes. I plant the corms at the same time in November. Get you a nut cracker and remove them from the shell. They will form what’s called a round. Looks like a leek with an onion bulb. The following year plant it like a clove and there will be your largest bulbs. That’s how my bulbs are so large. The rounds make the largest bulbs. Compost, bone meal, worm castings and just sprinkle Muriate of Potash over the bed and mulch.
Thank you for your answer! I only pulled 2 elephant garlic so far. They both had corms, but looked like a leek with an onion at the bottom like you said. I originally planted cloves last November and we have feet of snow/below freezing in winter. I know it takes 2 years, so is that from corms, or cloves, or both? The greens are browning significantly so I thought they were ready to harvest. I guess I need to let them go another year to get cloves?
Those are ridiculous outstanding good job
Totally agree! ridiculous.😁
❤
Each one is bigger than the next ‼️😎
There goes to show that you can grow large produce organically. Thanks for the message

My favorite
Nice !!!
Thanks!
Youre the bomb 💣 thanks ❤
💣💣💣💣💣😊
Very impressive. You let the stalks dry out prior to harvesting. How long has it been since you cut off the scapes? My leaves are still pretty green (eastern mass), I cut the scapes off about 2 weeks ago, and I figure waiting to harvest the 1st week of July.
I have a very harvesting the scapes and my watering cut off. 20 days from harvesting the scapes I fertilize for the last time and no water.
Cant wait to purchase and try again my first round fell
You can do it! 🙌🏽
❤❤❤
I planted some days ago. The weather is too hot nearly 43°c and the soil os much sandy. The plants are guava, orange, grapes and some roses. Today i planted tomatoes seed as i saw in your video. But the other plants are dryimg it seems. Leaves drooped and beginning to dry. Is it normal. I water everyday
43 celcius? That's like 109 here. Too hot to transplant.
What will you do with cone? Your soil looks like it is kind of sandy
Good observation. Cheap top soil and my compost. The corms are replanted and they will form a round the next year. The following year, replant and it will form a super huge buld.
NEW GARDNER ALERT
🤣
Have you ever tried hard neck music garlic i would like to get my hands on some of those
Hard neck music garlic?
I've only recently discovered your channel. Love the shared knowledge from you. I'm curious of what region or state are you growing in. I'm in central PA or northeast PA kinda in between. I ask so if you're close i can gage starting seeds, & crop transplanting. Anyway nice garlic harvest.(that last one is what ya' call growing outside the box)
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm in ATL, Georgia.
I’m in Georgia zone 8A. Quite a bit different I would imagine but these days anything is possible. We can still from etch other. Thanks for the message.
@@growingoutthebox
I watch a couple other channels located in Georgia "The Humble Servants Homestead" and "Lazy Dog Farm" . Yea it's a bit different from what I do. Y'all are growing stuff when my ground is still hard as rocks lol. Hey continued successful harvesting towards you. Right now I'm trying to get creative and figure out where I can put 9 Cantaloupes in containers. I was gifted 9 Cantaloupes and 14 watermelons from an Amish greenhouse gardrn center. They're gonna have to go up a trellis I just haven't worked out where lol. It's a good project for me.
Have been curious about elephant garlic. How is it compared to just regular garlic? I use garlic all the time cooking, how does the elephant compare?
It’s milder than regular garlic
Tried growibg garlic for the 1st time this year. They did great for about 2 months, i was really excited. Then one by one, a few weeks ago, each plants leaves turned brown and no matter what I tried, they died off. Ill try again but it was dissapointing to say the least.
Did u dig one up?
Did you plant the in the Fall? Takes 7 to 9 months to grow.
That's some beautiful Garlic my friend. Are you still working forward to a larger scale
production for resale? And will it be mostly grown from cloves (the quickest way)
rather than corms, then rounds? (2yr process) Just curious.
Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me. The fact that the upside down one, still
found the Sun, buried in the dark ground, no ability to see, has to be from feeling for
warmth. That's easy to deduce, but why did the roots grow in the same way, where
normally they would grow downward seeking nutrients and water?
Our Garlic, all hard necks, are in their final stage. Last fertilized and hand watered.
I say hand watered because it's been 13 days without watering. Bottom leaves yellowing.
2"s of rain yesterday and only 2 sunny days forecast in the next week. Nothing I can
do about that. We'll test pull a couple on July 1st, hopefully shooting for a July 7th-10th.
As always, TYFS Keith
Oh, were your last couple feedings nitrogen or phosphorous based?
Man...I planted my garlic under my grapevine than all of a sudden they just started to fall over. Think it was to much shade they are still alive but i guess ill move them this fall into direct light for next year. Will they continue to grow or just go to seed?
They need that direct sunlight to get the bulbs larger. It’s too late to make a real difference this harvest but Fall will be rolling around the corner and you will be ready.
Love your channel, do you sale your own product?
I have a shop growingoutthebox.com

lol 😂 I will
Why do I have tall round bulbs at the end of my grow pot garlic?
Thanks
Can’t vision what you are referring to. Can you post a picture?
@growingoutthebox you know when the garlic grow so tall. I looked at a video, and the lady called them scapes but I let grow until the round ball on them like they getting ready to flower, so ran out out side and cut them off. The lady said that will stunt the bulb growth
I just hope I did not wait too late. I did finish off the sweet potatoes and white potatoes like you said. I used the green sand and bone meal on the sweet potatoes. I drew small lines in the barrel and worked in the bone meal, and I added the green sand. I used the kelp meal on th butter ball and russet potatoes.
Good evening my man ,I just subscribe to your channel yesterday. can you tell me if it's to late to grow tomatoes ,and can I start in a 5 gallon 🪣 never try growing anything that why I'm asking you .and can you tell me how to start it . I really your garden .
