- The toughest pike fishing tournament in the world is officially back. 8 teams spread out across Europe will battle each other for three days in a test of skills, strategy and endurance as they try to outdo each other in the hunt for the win.

It is very interesting to observe that fishing is not fixated on sticking in panoptix as it happens at all competitions in Russia. Where the competition is now an arms race of sonar equipment and all the catching takes place watching in a lot of screens. I like the tournament very much, thanks to everyone who creates and supports it

you should change the name because this has nothing to do with 'fly vs jerk' anymore. it's just a pike fishing competition. the original concept is completely gone. sorry to be harsh guys...

I absolutely tune in every year to watch this competition. Like others I wish there were more fly teams to make the competition more even as I most often fly fish for pike. Where I live in Canada simply that is the most abundant species I can access. I do agree slightly with the explanation that it is difficult casting large flies all day; however being on the water means that you do have space to back cast. It does get crowded in a boat though. For that reason my friends and I fly fish from float tubes. We don’t have to cast nearly as often as we “kick” troll our flies over some spots and choose to cast our flies for presention in other spots. Therefore could it be that the competition rules limits the number of fly teams because of the differences of some techniques allowed and the smaller number of organized fly fishing tournaments?

Hi From Northern Ireland some nice fish caught am 77 will wait until the weather get's a bit warmer before i start fishing maybe can pick up a small rowboat that have been looking 2 years for a small one but here the boats are far to expensive hope can get a small fixer upper

Really like the production in general, but...Way too much spoilers in the intro. Totally destroys the thrill and feeling of surprise when watching the episode. Instead, save all the big catches for the actual film starting at 4:30. Besides that, thumbs up 👍👍

With all the different countries it may not be possible but it would be cool if one of the days all the teams had to fish on one body of water.
Here in Wisconsin we use pike as live bait for musky😂
