That whistle takes so much breath control. Might be harder than singing the actual song. But not only that you hear the emotions more in the whistle. Very storytelling

That piano player is one of the top vocal coaches in this country. His name is Stevie Mackey and he sings like an angelic being too! Yes and Amen he played that piano!

Our joke was that she couldn't sing a note, her speaking deep and full and also she couldn't call to someone to say hello, one of us(brother &sis) would do that for her too. man, yeah that's something he did that you hear "singing" in his whistle. Oh, don't have an answer to your question, just adding how beautiful gifts we humans have and can be as "simple" as a whistle. ~ hugs ~💫💝

The original song was played at a friends funeral service. I heard this rendition in my head and I found myself whistling towards the end. Such a wonderful rendition and it trumps the original. The whistling is so vulnerable and stripped down. Amazing

I have never heard anyone whistle like that in a song before. Now i've heard Lalah Hathaway harmonizing with herself, and Mariah carey whistle. But I've never heard someone whistle and put FEELING into it. Amazing cover. I'd buy the album and go to the concert when it happens.
