I like to imagine that instead of changing to Freeform, ABC Family began airing only movies that were rated G and PG and that it only aired kid shows that used to air on ABC including the ones that aired in the network's children's programming blocks. The only problem is that I can't seem to find any Freeform air schedules starting from January 13th, 2016 so that I can keep tracks of shows and movies that the network should have aired.
if you stop and think about it, this rebrand was inevitable and bound to happen someday. mainly because ever since Disney bought FOX Family in 2001, and rebranded it as ABC Family the following year, the network started to air more content aimed at teens/adults. Especially from 2007-2015. So really, we should’ve expected a rebrand. Plus, Freeform still airs all of those nostalgic family films and series. They just aren’t the “family” channel anymore.
If only Disney could buy Pat Robertson out of the channel. It's really silly for him to keep the ironclad contract regarding his stupid talk show. Especially since it conflicts with the views of Disney and Freeform.

Freeform still has 25 days of Christmas and 31 nights of Halloween and they also have funday weekends/3 day weekend of Disney
