PH-DTF, PH-DTG & PH-DTH were used both by KLM and VIASA for many years. That is why you see in this video a DC10 with KLM colours bearing a venezuelan register (YV-138C). VIASA finally bought them all and DTF became YV-133C, DTG became YV-134C and DTH became YV-138C. PH-DTL was also leased to VIASA several times.
I love this plane. Flew KLM DC-10 from Amsterdam to Minneapolis twice. But the first time I flew the DC-10 was in 1980 with UTA (french airline, later bought by Air France) from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (flight started in Paris) to Los Angeles with stop-overs in Jakarta Indonesia, Noumea New Caledonia, Sydney Australia, Noumea again, Auckland New Zealand, Papeete Tahiti, Los Angeles.

Much prefer the MD-11. That version just looks nicer and wasn't a flying coffin.
Ibirdball Very true
Yeah so so right? but the DC-10-30 was better off anyways then the 40
I wasn't even talking about the DC-10-30 or -40, just the DC-10 in general.
Safety records between variants are quite different
I know they are, but that wasn't the point, I was comparing the MD-11 *family* to the DC-10 *family* .
The DC-10 in the KLM livery is biutifull
My dad flew on PH-DTD and PH-DTE before DTE went off runway in 83 he flew them back to back in 73
Found the flights in his BOAC junior club flight log, flew these at 12 yrs old hah
My first trip on a DC10 was on KLM PH-DTA JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH . Johannesburg - Kano - Amsterdam. Great aircraft .
What year how did Kano airport look like then
Alaska airlines md-83 fleet history please

Good video
I like this song
I have never flown on a dc 10 but i have dlown on a klm md 11
Good song matches with the days of dc10
Thanks
Jetstar A320 pls
Dc-10-10 Has no middle Landing Gear and the Md-11 and the Dc-10-30 have a middle landing gear.
Ok
I Wish KLM Would keep the DC-10-30 To 2018
I wish DC airplanes were still flying... DC planes (+ the B747 and the Concorde) are my favourite planes
@@funplayer05.1 man ey die DC 10 von klm oder Condor oder Lufthansa hätte niemals aus dem Verkehr gezogen sollen 😭
Классно!
To me, I think the DC-10 Family looks great in my opinion but the MD-11 was safer
KLM has been flying with DC 10 for more than 10 years, never had any problems.
