yeah um... poppy was the neighbor's kid who wants to be a villain and get into lycee pas bon. she must have heard about gru and once she saw that gru was moving into the house nextdoor she befriended him and blackmailed him into pulling a heist with her. she's not out for revenge, and she is not related to vector or lucy. Its fine though, while writing this i realized that this was made before DM4 was released.
Actually, Poppy was Perry’s Daughter if you believe this fact is real you can call vector her “stepdad” they’re not related. There’s a supervillain in every movie. He can’t possibly be related.
After watching over 20+ Despicable Me 4 trailers, my theory is that Poppy is a neighbor, if you watch the trailer you can see Margo getting pushed into a car as Gr says "Why don't you hang out with Poppy?" I also think this because since Gru is now in a new home due to his secret identity, Poppy is most likely to be living in the area. Poppy also only shows up after she finds out Gru is a vilian, as seen in one of the trailers.
