Finally! Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks the interiors of these cars are weirdly claustrophobic. I learned how to parallel park in one of these boats, made passing the exam in my '11 Fusion super easy.

Imagine being some dude in the parking lot and then from across the parking lot you see a guy crawl into the trunk of a Ford Taurus

I'm surprised that you found the ride floaty. Having grown up riding in body on frame sedans, k cars, minivans, w body impalas, Buick LeSabre's, and other such vehicles, this car feels by comparison very firm in the suspension and has great driving dynamics. The 5th generation had the wide open interior and a softer suspension for sure. Materials wise this feels like it should have been something nicer than just a Ford. Perhaps if this had been a Mercury and the tourist stayed with the 5th generation design that would be more accurate.

Id have to disagree. The 10th gen Impala is the overall winner when compared to the 6th gen Taurus

Maybe you should have reviewed a Malibu LTZ/Premier instead of a base model

R.i.p grandma, Something about the interior seems kinda smallish

These are so small inside compared to the outside. A Toyota Corolla actually has more rear legroom

We can’t help but think what if Ford Australia got these as a Falcon replacement although size wise Taurus was closer to accord or Camry.
