I think, you should try to see what a Shockadin is able to solo. The level 60 bracket had shockadin solo'ing Stratholme dead wing, I would be curious to see what it can do in that sort of setting.
a detailed guide about the schockadin in P4 would be a dream xD

I'm not wanting to play shockadin to dps I'm wanting to play it to be able to heal and "shock" burst people or outlast people in pvp so I feel I'm gonna really enjoy it.
blizzard has no idea what they are doing with the game, I did some tests on ptr Ret has lower dps than all tank Specs (from other classes and of course because they don't want us to play paladin)
It's pretty dumb how it seems so much focus goes into making sure the classes that used to be good even in normal classic are good, but the ones that really had a chance to be made good just kind of stay mid. Why are boomkins and the like still trash, but warriors are top?
Top 1 Warrior 5k dps in ST, top paladin 2.6 sod its same bulshit of classic with a little bit of "New" content..
Well we have one mediocre buff for every class so they intentionally nerfed us to a point where we will receive limited use.
@@brian2554 Well why should Blizzard make sure that every single class performs the same on parsing? It's a temporary seasonal Classic WoW journey that will last maybe 1 year more, if you want all the classes to sim like 5% DPS within eachother then you should probably go play retail.
Also: None of the classes are "trash". You can literally clear the entirety of Sunken Temple with a caster group that does 600 DPS each, the difficulty of the raids is a joke.
@@Hooga89like actually shu t up with the “seasonal server lasting 1 year” argument for blizz ineptitude as if entire WoW expansions aren’t a year as well. Era servers last a year before dying too.

Thank you! Sure, go into your Battle.net Launcher and choose Game version above your play Button in Classic WoW Tab. "World of Warcraft Classic" is selected as standard, but you can change it to "WoW Classic Era PTR". Download the ptr version to start playing. You need to create a new character there.
I did my own testing for this. I got around a consistant 1550 dps. Peaking 2220 How I achieved this was thus.
1. You MUST use Soulforge (Ret) Version.
2. Runes.
Required: Sheath of Light.
Requires: Shock and Awe.
Reason sheath over infusion.
The ret version of gear has both strength and intellect in similar amounts. This allows you to double dip on both resources for spell power.
Examples,
Sf helm ret: 30 str, 15 int. = 18 SP gained via sheath. And 15 SP from Shock and AWE.
32 net SP.
SF helm holy: 25 int. Only 25 SP.
You need fast 2h. As Exorcism spam procs. You don't care about holy shock SP proc. Just use every time you can. Everything (including Holy shock) double dipping on extra SP = way more dam than just infusion cd reduction. Exorcism ss well.
Fantastism, Purifying Power (gives you holy wrath filler that aoe hits as hard as holy shock almost.)
You then then Cs and divine storm.
Divine storm and CS are there for extra seal hits/proc chance on abilities. This feeds your exorcism reduction. And fills the gap between holy shock. Also because of the extra melee strikes you get more benefit from your overall higher SP scaling.
For talents. Make sure you take divine strength and Divine intellect. Double scaling.
Shockadin isn't supposed to be pure "intellect" you need hybrid gear always.
All the gear should have both intellect and strength or youre trolling. It's super important.
This setup focuses on exorcism damage and maximizing spell power. Seems like you would get more by forgetting about holy shock and just using Retribution spec. The bonus spell power from shock and awe can’t be greater damage increase than the vengeance talent and righteous vengeance rune on your cape and even 2H weapon spec.

@holychopstix the benefit is here you have far more crit. More ranged damage. And of course offhealing. Of course it's not min maxed. But dosent need to be the best. Just usable. That's all that's needed.
To many people look at builds and think "oh just go ret" or x. It's about being somewhat similar with a completely dif Playstyle for fun. While doing ok.
Otherwise ur meta brained and can't play unless it's good/op.

Ich mache mir echt gedanken darüber was aus dem Ret Paladin werden soll, warum bekommt es Blizzard nicht hin ihn einfach zu buffen und fertig. Mit dem Krieger im moment geht es doch auch. Ich bezweifel das in 6 Tagen noch etwas passieren wird, um den Paladin aus seinem tief zu holen.
bro i test this shokadin specs like 3-4 differense with all the gear .. but ret is still better for pve and pvp ! maybe a bit latter in the game with the better gear is possible shokadins to be better than rets
There is no way to compare ret and holy in pvp cuz its just different roles. Almost all BGs need shockadin cuz it can heal and has really good burst on demand aswell. This is what makes shockadin really good in pvp. Ret is more disposable cuz there are clearly better damage dealer classes in pvp.
True! Shockadins can do great burst in pvp while healing. Thats really strong :). Ret will be the pve dps build.
Holy balls bro... use SoR not SoM are you nuts? The Judgement has 50% Ratio and the Auto has 20% Ratio even at 1.3 speeds... can crit x2... and x2 procs oils and other things with Spell Power Ratios.
*Pulls out a Calculator*
At +1k Spell Power and 40% Crit chance SoR hitting 310 average Damage per hit at 1.3 Speeds... +240 DPS... Judgement would be 350+500 = +127 DPS... Frost Oil = 30 +300 with a 20% Proc Chance per Hit = +50 DPS
So your are missing even on the low end... 430 DPS minus whatever SoM gives.
Druid Windfury Procs only make this all the scarier... unclear if SoR x2 Procs windfury.
SoR = 22 Base Damage at 1.3s Speeds +20% Spell Power Ratio Regardless of wep Speed.
x2 Procs Oils, Weapon Enchants, Weapon on hit effects ON the weapon... so not trinkets and set bonuses...
She Crits for x2... Causes the 22 base damage to +15% from the 5/5 talents but not the +20% Spell Power Damage (less they fixed it)
But 5/5 1 hand Weapon Specialization and 3/3 2 Hand Specialization increase Damage of White, Seal, And Judgement Damage.
She also causes x2 spell Pushback per hit and x2 reflect damage to be suffered

@@JohnnyGambler Me Personally no. But I did the math and it said "middle of the pack DPS". So less then Ret but not much less then Ret.
The issue here is that there are SOOOO many things wrong with that assesment on the PTR.
Spell Power High Crit chance Gear doesn't exist for Paladin on PTR... you can't even gear like a mage if you wanted for example.
Ret will scale better with world buffs. But Ret is missing a decent 2 Hand weapon.
We just kind of went "meh" whatever and moved along with out lives.
The issue for Paladin being that as a Hybrid Utility Class that gives MANA back to the raid in DPS mode... Blizzard can't really afford to make Paladin top tier DPS...
And Holy Paladin is still S++ Single Target Healer.
TLDR = Raids will have 4-5 Paladins Each... at least 1 Ret and the Rest holy... maybe 1 Tanku.
The... wider raid considerations make Ret DPS less viable weather they were God Tier or not.
So you test to see if they are TOP TIER... find they are not... and realize its 3-4 Holy Pallies and 1 Ret per Raid = the Future.
