Great vid. Love trav gf barbs A couple alternate strats: use spell steal axe for wep swap for teleport + decrepify, you can then ditch enigma in favor of wealth RW for 300% more gf. Decrep is 50% of amp with slow effect, can be better than amp if you slack off leap/warcry Credit to streamer Cooley to opening my eyes to the spell steal axe - PHENOMENAL weapon for trav gf barb

Yeah I also tested both and I MUCH prefer Gavel of Pain over Spellsteel despite the drawbacks. You don't need teleport with leap plus the durance stairs trick, and amplify damage is much better than decrep, lasting *much* longer and significantly more damage. I timed it and recharging the Gavel only needs to take 7-8 seconds (assuming teleport to town, repair, then quit for the next run so that you don't ever have to do the return trip running to the waypoint.)

About the upcoming changes, i'm kinda excited to see the final patch note. Introducing new rw's is really nice, class balance as well, can't wait to try impale zon or any other buffed builds. I'm just lil bit worried about blizz taking D3 route by constantly buffing skill/items/sets. We'll see ! (i've played a lot at d3 as well so no hate there :D but that's how D3 works, up to paragon 20k, massive nerf, huge buff, bots, etc... )

Hmn, tought i had already answered to your comment earlier :D but i can't see it, so anyway ! I love low lvl duelling, coronets are lvl39+ that's why i gamble circlets only. There's a glitch tought about gambling circlets, it ACTUALLY gives you a tiara/diadem when you gamble circlets, try to gamble some, you will notice it quickly (like 15-20% chance to get a tiara/diadem out of 6 circlets)

I remember making a gold find barb back in the mid-2000s that used to rake in closer to 1M gold per Hell Trav run. Don't remember the specifics, but I do remember that it used a unique 2H axe that was pretty important. Of course, he used to die a lot also, I guess maybe that is the trade off :D

@@ilovemf You're right. I went looking through D2 items out of curiosity and realized that I had used the Runemaster 1H axe socketed with 5xLems in each hand (cannot be frozen!). He was squishy as hell and did squat for damage, but man did he drop big piles of gold! Ah, the memories haha.
Finally a GF barb that doesnt follow outdated strategy! Gavel and Demon limb are SUPER underrated. Even with budget gear , he is super fast if you have those two items.
I use grief and ww on my trav barb to prioritize kill speed but now I'm having second thoughts. Have you tried comparing? I'm thinking that since you can hork bodies while your merc clears, the total run speed will be similar. Not to mention you can load up more on the mf/gf gear... while with the grief i find it hard to give up the highlord's DS for tele.
Hey mate, it depends, it's about your playstyle, i did compair yes & i prefer this build but it's also nice to kill council by yourself :P, that might give you 5-10sec faster kill speed but much less gold find, up to you :) cheers
@@ilovemf just tried this with a a5 merc with eth fort + headstriker... but he melts instantly. somehow act 5 merc is less tanky than the a2 merc i guess
@@ilovemf update... made it work with an arioc's. i like that I get a lot more gold during runs, but its main problem is the durability of the merc. He just melts if trav spawns with auras, especially might or conviction. with grief setup this is less of an issue.
Hey, thanx, it's actually cheap to repair, less than 50k gold every 3 runs. Few changes with patch 2.4, (max find item synergy) i might remake a video later.
hey, gambling is your best option if u can't trade. If you play online, trade one, a clean one is cheap (doesn't matter if no other stats, it's still better to have tele than a non tele perfect GF barb amulet)
inspired by this video I am doing my first travi runs ever - so far I am at run 325 and already got JAH + LO + UM + a Soj and some other nice stuff. Seems really to work so far :)
@@ilovemf LO and UM was together in 1 run - really crazy but I assume there will be nothing for the next 300 runs :D Overall my impression is its more worthy than baalruns - I spend hours and hours and nothing cool dropped...
Hey mate have you tried using brand on switch to skip repairs? I think with wealth in like a basic breast plate rather than elite base my chance to be hit goes into the 80%'s by council. 85% for 35% ctc if hit is pretty high if telestomping. Wish there was someone testing it so I can judge if I want to make the big investment but couldn't find any such content

Also would have thought actually without literally any stat point investment and everything into vita can help u tank the hits you need to get amp dmg procced
@@angsongkiu905 yeah sometimes it doesn't cast for like 5-6sec. Then most of the time, council is split in 2 parts, downstair & upstair & you have to repeat the process again. Overall, it's not bad at all but gavel is slightly superior. With gavel, you can start horking right after casting amp :)

Hey, If i remenber right, when u cast AMP with gavel & if you use your skill battle cry (-%def to enemies) as the same time, it will substitute to AMP. So you have to wait for AMP to be over to start using battle cry. (or recast a second time AMP, best is to cast AMP once per run) (lmk if it's clear, damn my english :d)
Hey ! Yes mate & thanx, WP is the best base but if you got a botd ghost spear for ex, it works just fine as well. (think you need 105ias tought instead just 80ias with warpike).
I just found dragonscale paladin unique shield. Yesterday i found : MAL+ OHM runes. And the day before ethereal death cleaver. Is this eth death cleaver worth keeping?

Hmn, i'd say, it's more about your playstyle. With my guide, the barb is quite passive^^, just leaping once every 10 games for that cold/conv aura to be isolated ;) but as you saw in my video, you can let your merc do the job (25-35sec with right gear) & instantly "find item" which is imo the fastest way to do travi runs. BT's guide is fine for sure (as many other variants)

Have you estimated the value of gold from gambling yet? Like 100 million gold (on average) gets you how much Ists from trading? Have you directly compared tiaras vs. rings vs. amulets as the best option to gamble on?
Isnt a Cham rune is better over ed/eg jool in Jemali helmet? i know its not work vs holy freeze aura, but vs spectral hit, cold enchanted and acolytes around (blizzard) its pretty strong :D
Hey! It's up to you but yeah best option would be a "Jeweler/Artisan's Diadem of the Lamprey" (3 sockets, 7-8% Life Leech), socketed with: - (2x) 15IAS/40ED Jewels (or 15IAS/40% Damage to Demons) - (1x) Cham Rune
Also could You explain why Jeweler Diadem of the Wealth is 10/10? If we try to get last jab bp we need to invest 2x IAS/ED jewels + for example CHam or ED/EG but we lose 10ll+30str(dmg) and 500+def ^^ Or maybe combined with Wealth runeword its just for nm diff - then all is clear :D

Hey mate and thanx ! you should switch crown vs andy sock 15ias jwl, sock arioc with 15ias jwl (if you can get a 15ias/fire for helm & 15ias/ed for weapon, it's ideal) then you will reach 70ias, merc will hit faster (& so leech faster). that's 100%eg less but merc won't die & will kill faster as well. Then you can also help him to survive by leaping around, or by using WARCRY (mana hungry skill). Let me know how you feel after trying that. Cheers (edit: skill infos in profile description)

I put points into find item until a level stops giving me a full percent chance to find and then I start putting points into find potion every point into find potion guarantees one percent more chance on find item. My find item is like 77%.
Hey mate, 20ias is needed to reach 80ias breakpoint for warpike, then 10%ll is just insane (as you can see in the vid, my merc kinda never loose life) then i use COH armor which puts my merc at even more than 75@res.
I Love this Video. Funny meme's nice Gameplay and Showcase,. But what i wanna mention Here ist that Rune Drops nothing have to to with goldfind/Magic find. Travi have a high Dropchance anyways. This also can bei EZ by a füll dmg char without. Just saying for PPL they think i need a gold barb to get hrs
Hey mate, true, they are better ways to find hr's (cow cs, lower kurast, arcane runs etc...) & magic find doesn't matter at all. This build is about getting a lot of gold to gamble while having a chance to drop hr's uniques etc... travincal is probably the 4th best place for hr's tought. Obviously you can do travi with any other chars & i highly suggest to add this area to your MF routine. Thanx for your comment mate, appreciate it !

God just did 20 runs with my g/f barb, every run was either holy freeze or conv....ugh unfortunately my merc is a bit budget(crown o thieve, non eth reaper, duress) I forgot about the amp dmg charges I think I have one laying around.
Hey, gavel of pain will make your runs a LOT smoother mate & if u can get a eth arioc, do it, cheap & much better than eth reaper ( decrep cancels amp) let me know if it fix things a bit :P
Hey mate, the goal with the merc is actually to not have to worry about him so i use botd wp (has 13%ll, up to 15 then andy 10%ll, and eth COH which have also 8%ll) basically, when he hits once, he recovers over 50%health. (& he has 80ias total for fast attack hits)
@@jarlfisk Yes mate, but some are cheap like arrioc needle for weapon (breath of the dying warpike if you can afford) then andariel's visage for helm or crown of thieves/tal mask & finally chain of honor armor or fortitude (if you can afford) or gladiator's bane, duriel's shell, if not. Mercenary need a lot %life leech to survive.

@@ilovemf In terms of clear speed, you're absolutely right. In terms of % GF, wealth would be better. I never made a comparison of gold-to-time ratio between the 2 armors tho :) I also like Crown of Thieves on the merc for the % GF. All comes down to personal preference :)
Personally think new War Cry Gold find barb is too strong right now ! WIth 75% item find and 1k Warcry dmg/stun and huge Battle cry enemy defense and damage.. It's so much utility you dont even have to use leap anymore. i main a travi barb he has far more than 1000 runs. yes there have been periods where runes drop, but its a bit of a bait. easily can be 3000 runs happen without rune beyond MAL

Everytime i watch these type of videos it makes me think the RNG gods hate me. Ive done about 500 hell trav runs like this, ive found almost absolutely nothing. Highest rune has been lem. Like 40 or so ith, tir, ral, shael etc. No uniques worth mentioning. No rare jewels worth anything. I did find a ring that was slightly better than what i was using, forget stats but the highlight was 8%ll
lemonade from lemons friend! Collect jewels and gems to craft that godly ring or Ammy. Don’t ignore the blue items that can be godly too. Pelts, talons, monarch’s, etc. you should be ID’ing something or picking up a crafting item every run. Reroll grand charms for skillers. It’s all what you make of it

To further elaborate, whe. Gambling circles they spontaneously change to a coronet on occasion in the gamble screen. When they do, the purchased coronet is guaranteed to upgrade to a tiara or diadem. There's several vids and posts out there that state gambling circles is the best way to get tiaras and diadem now

Duration on the spell steel is terrible tho, I just hork pindle, then lazurk repair, means I can use 2 amp damages a run in trav if need be.

I think with wealth in like a basic breast plate rather than elite base my chance to be hit goes into the 80%'s by council. 85% for 35% ctc if hit is pretty high if telestomping. Wish there was someone testing it so I can judge if I want to make the big investment but couldn't find any such content

Also would have thought actually without literally any stat point investment and everything into vita can help u tank the hits you need to get amp dmg procced
@@angsongkiu905 yeah sometimes it doesn't cast for like 5-6sec. Then most of the time, council is split in 2 parts, downstair & upstair & you have to repeat the process again. Overall, it's not bad at all but gavel is slightly superior. With gavel, you can start horking right after casting amp :)

Hey, If i remenber right, when u cast AMP with gavel & if you use your skill battle cry (-%def to enemies) as the same time, it will substitute to AMP. So you have to wait for AMP to be over to start using battle cry. (or recast a second time AMP, best is to cast AMP once per run) (lmk if it's clear, damn my english :d)

Hmn, i'd say, it's more about your playstyle. With my guide, the barb is quite passive^^, just leaping once every 10 games for that cold/conv aura to be isolated ;) but as you saw in my video, you can let your merc do the job (25-35sec with right gear) & instantly "find item" which is imo the fastest way to do travi runs. BT's guide is fine for sure (as many other variants)

Hey! It's up to you but yeah best option would be a "Jeweler/Artisan's Diadem of the Lamprey" (3 sockets, 7-8% Life Leech), socketed with:
- (2x) 15IAS/40ED Jewels (or 15IAS/40% Damage to Demons)
- (1x) Cham Rune
Also could You explain why Jeweler Diadem of the Wealth is 10/10? If we try to get last jab bp we need to invest 2x IAS/ED jewels + for example CHam or ED/EG but we lose 10ll+30str(dmg) and 500+def ^^ Or maybe combined with Wealth runeword its just for nm diff - then all is clear :D

Hey mate and thanx ! you should switch crown vs andy sock 15ias jwl, sock arioc with 15ias jwl (if you can get a 15ias/fire for helm & 15ias/ed for weapon, it's ideal) then you will reach 70ias, merc will hit faster (& so leech faster). that's 100%eg less but merc won't die & will kill faster as well. Then you can also help him to survive by leaping around, or by using WARCRY (mana hungry skill). Let me know how you feel after trying that. Cheers (edit: skill infos in profile description)

You really don’t need tele Amy, just enter durance and come right back out to pop merc to the council
Hey, durance wp is lvl2 sadly, tele amu also helps for more things (focus on cold / conv aura council member & when they are split up & down as well)
I put points into find item until a level stops giving me a full percent chance to find and then I start putting points into find potion every point into find potion guarantees one percent more chance on find item. My find item is like 77%.

Hey mate, 20ias is needed to reach 80ias breakpoint for warpike, then 10%ll is just insane (as you can see in the vid, my merc kinda never loose life) then i use COH armor which puts my merc at even more than 75@res.
I Love this Video. Funny meme's nice Gameplay and Showcase,. But what i wanna mention Here ist that Rune Drops nothing have to to with goldfind/Magic find. Travi have a high Dropchance anyways. This also can bei EZ by a füll dmg char without. Just saying for PPL they think i need a gold barb to get hrs
Hey mate, true, they are better ways to find hr's (cow cs, lower kurast, arcane runs etc...) & magic find doesn't matter at all. This build is about getting a lot of gold to gamble while having a chance to drop hr's uniques etc... travincal is probably the 4th best place for hr's tought. Obviously you can do travi with any other chars & i highly suggest to add this area to your MF routine. Thanx for your comment mate, appreciate it !

God just did 20 runs with my g/f barb, every run was either holy freeze or conv....ugh unfortunately my merc is a bit budget(crown o thieve, non eth reaper, duress) I forgot about the amp dmg charges I think I have one laying around.
Hey, gavel of pain will make your runs a LOT smoother mate & if u can get a eth arioc, do it, cheap & much better than eth reaper (

Hey mate, the goal with the merc is actually to not have to worry about him so i use botd wp (has 13%ll, up to 15 then andy 10%ll, and eth COH which have also 8%ll) basically, when he hits once, he recovers over 50%health. (& he has 80ias total for fast attack hits)

Mercenary need a lot %life leech to survive.

Yeah, it can be tough especially at travincal where you cannot drop certains rare uniques. Good luck for your next runs :)
If you get a lot of gold you can gamble for 5 lightning sentry greater or ruinic talons which is worth more than pretty much any drop.

@@ilovemf In terms of clear speed, you're absolutely right. In terms of % GF, wealth would be better. I never made a comparison of gold-to-time ratio between the 2 armors tho :)
I also like Crown of Thieves on the merc for the % GF. All comes down to personal preference :)
Personally think new War Cry Gold find barb is too strong right now !
WIth 75% item find and 1k Warcry dmg/stun and huge Battle cry enemy defense and damage.. It's so much utility you dont even have to use leap anymore.
Also as the only Char that can use dual swords - using 2x ali baba's also get's him the most MF, while the new A5 Merc using dual Griefs just wrecks everything.

i main a travi barb he has far more than 1000 runs. yes there have been periods where runes drop, but its a bit of a bait. easily can be 3000 runs happen without rune beyond MAL

Everytime i watch these type of videos it makes me think the RNG gods hate me. Ive done about 500 hell trav runs like this, ive found almost absolutely nothing. Highest rune has been lem. Like 40 or so ith, tir, ral, shael etc. No uniques worth mentioning. No rare jewels worth anything. I did find a ring that was slightly better than what i was using, forget stats but the highlight was 8%ll
lemonade from lemons friend! Collect jewels and gems to craft that godly ring or Ammy. Don’t ignore the blue items that can be godly too. Pelts, talons, monarch’s, etc. you should be ID’ing something or picking up a crafting item every run. Reroll grand charms for skillers. It’s all what you make of it
Uh, you should consider gambling coronets only. Stop wasting gold on circlets... You can't get tiaras or diadems from those.
Hey mate, i'm a low lvl dueller as well, that's why i gamble circlets only. There's a glitch tought about gambling circlets, it ACTUALLY gives you a tiara/diadem when you gamble circlets, try to gamble some, you will notice it quickly (like 15-20% chance to get a tiara/diadem out of 6 circlets). But for any other people than don't play LLD, then yes, always gamble coronets !
To further elaborate, whe. Gambling circles they spontaneously change to a coronet on occasion in the gamble screen. When they do, the purchased coronet is guaranteed to upgrade to a tiara or diadem. There's several vids and posts out there that state gambling circles is the best way to get tiaras and diadem now
