I was raised as Christian but didn't understand what "Christianity" really meant for me in my life, until such time that I felt empty about everything. I was looking for something that can fill up the missing puzzle piece in my heart, but nothing can fill it. Then I realize that I have God, and Jesus that died for me. Praise God, 2 Years sober and continuing. I really love living with Him, and FOR HIM. To God be the Glory!
oh my this brought me a little to tears because your testimony is so close to mine, I too was raised in Christianity but strayed away from god, those 3 years where full of rage and sadness and I then ended up going back my steps looking for the lost happiness I had as an early teen. Then it hit me it was my love and devotion to serve god in the highest. I used to lead a little group of children that would do flags during service at my church, before I strayed away the lord, even at an older age I too participated and now I am more than happy with my lord and savior for the one thing I always wanted I received. The sense of joy and fulfill ness that only he gives. Keep it up man god is the only way to eternal life, but for me the reward is to live by his word with his fulfilling joy and the beauty it is to live by his side with every wonder and miracle that he is to one day do and does on the daily. Praise Jesus..I too am crying... I was brought up a Christian and backslid....ended up addicted to alcohol and cigarettes....the world does not satisfy....Now set free I am overflowing with love peace and joy....Its the real thing!...and it can only be found our precious Saviour... Jesus Christ!!:)

when I accepted the Lord, I held off telling my Hindu parents the truth for about 4 months. I didn't want to disappoint them, but my choice was made. I would rather disappoint them than disappoint my Lord. I heard the worst things a parent would say to their kid. "you might as well throw yourself under a bus..." and I broke down. I was annihilated by the reaction of the people I loved the most. At that moment in my darkness, I opened my bible and it landed on Psalm 27. "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me in". After reading it I simply cried myself dry. I could not believe hoe my Lord loved me so much. He never left me and I had his embrace in my worst pain. I have only love for my parents. And after years of negativity from them, they are now slowly coming back in my life. I just want to say that I am loved. I am loved by you Lord! I am so loved that you gave me the most wonderful gift of a loving wife and beautiful kids. My life will always be for Jesus and to Jesus! Thank you, Lord!

Churches aren’t perfect. In fact they might be filled with most messed up people you will ever see. Most of them won’t talk about it and won’t have any one showing you their flaws. Stay away from those churches. Seek for Jesus. Seek for his people that are vulnerable and understand the need for a Savior. Those are the people you have church with. Whether in a building or a house or a park. Jesus will meet you where you are.

Brooke - IMO, this is perhaps the most beautiful clip from Hillsong yet produced. The vocal artistry, the photography, and the b&w color grading is wonderful! Most Hillsong videos are intentionally simple, focusing the music. Yet this clip offers something deeper and visually richer, that ads to the overall experience. The ONE THING I wish I could experience is a version (same performance, lighting, etc) filmed with a 360 degree camera for a VR experience. Experiencing your talents close the microphone and piano with this level of intensity and intimacy would be earthshattering. Thank you so much for doing this, and allowing my wife and I to experience your great talents.

This is the song (Hosanna) I recognized Brooke from, and this is the song that sparked fire in me to be a worship leader as well. This was more than 10 years ago and I’ve been leading worship service since and even had a worship song released just last year. I was brought to God through music and now I’m praying that others will also be brought to Jesus through it.. personally, God just speaks to me in a very special way through music.
Me too, I honestly feel the same way it’s almost as he knew music is my safe haven, is the way through me…..it’s my up and close times i spend with him. Just he and I, really awesome feeling.
