People are getting used to hoyoverse formula and then they try wuwa, they finally understood why gacha games were supposed to be, is to have fun and kurogames themselves understood that.
the hoyo formula is "The company is always right". Its like a dystopian society but for the gacha players who just want to feel good playing games but they cant get it
Gacha game was not even supposed to be that fun it was just supposed to be cash grab, but wuwa kinda elevates it to a gacha game with more game and less gacha.
you're certainly not the first. as a Jiyan girlie, i know SO many people who finally pay to ensure themselves getting Jiyan and his weapon back in 1.0 because he's such a well-made, thoughtful, and strong character. one has been playing gacha since, like, 2016, but Jiyan finally broke her wallet. 😂
Shorekeeper's accent makes me love her even more. The intro cutscene when you get her in the gacha is one of my favourite things ever. The music, the voice, the environment she's in. Just the way she says "Shorekeeper" hits me in the heart. It's so good.
REAL! I played genshit for 4 years... 4 YEARS. It haunts me that I played that game for that long but Im thankful when wuwa came out I never touched that game anymore
My favorite part about Wuthering Waves is the dev IMHO GI have more potential and promising future at release but the lack of changes and substantial improvement drive the player mad (I'm more disappointed than mad but oh well). Wuwa on the other hand gain noticable improvement each update on the quality of the music, character design, gameplay, story and QoL exactly what the player asked and more Let's not forget how generous the game is on top of the lower pity and the weapon banner is not a scam, crazy. Oh and Echo syatem is GOAT Edit: I played GI since launch almost everyday for two years, then I play it casually. I play Wuwa since launch and rarely miss a day (I but monthly since launch). Wuwa made me feel the same way I do GI at release but each update I feel happy and appreciated while GI update give me disappointment. Wuwa QoL update is just on another level entirely istg
If you play kuro's pgr you'll find the same curve of improvement wuwa has. It's constantly gettimg better, you can see the caring for the game and the playerbase
What a fun video. It's so refreshing to see someone really loving the world of WuWa, being so open about it. Because most people would say the opposite, I often see them say that it's bland and lifeless. Personally I share the same sentiment with you, the game has a post apocalyptic vibe and yet there's so much beautiful places to explore and see. I have one tip I wanna drop though, which I think you'll need after seeing you play Danjin 😅(no offense it's only normal for a beginner) There are tutorials in the Guidebook that goes in depth with characters in case you want to learn them better. You might not see it immediately but it's somwhere there in the guidebook, or just go the Resonator menu and click the small box at bottom right.

@michgarcia-w4z bro it's an arpg, of course it will be focused on the story, you should keep that in mind before starting playing this genre. It's the same treatment even if you play console arpg so if you can't spare time to play the story then you should just play a different game genre.
8:11 funny you mentioning Pokemon, because this game actually have shinies just like it! :) theyre called "Phantoms" and theres a chance an enemy will spawn all shining and with different color, and its guaranteed to be dropped! then it can work as a skin for that monster (not Only the echo you got right there, so if you got a shiny ice cube, ALL ice cubes you have and get can use the shiny skin)
If you wanna improve your graphics to make the game pop even more, I recommend using the Sharpen+ Nvidia filter. You don't have to go crazy, texture detail to 70% and sharpness below 15%, and you get much more detailed textures for free, especially rocks. No downsides as long as sharpness is low enough. There are other filters, but they require more tinkering to use. I like the "Details" filter's clarity slider, makes outlines thicker for a more anime look. And if you haven't already (but looks like you might have from your gameplay), turn the brightness slider in the settings way down. For whatever reason the default brightness messes up the colors. Glad you're enjoying the game!
Glad you enjoy Wuwa, hope you keep playing it. on the topic of immersion and good environments, I really like how the Sky and Vibe of the game changes when you're walking to Tacet Fields, so cool!
Thank you for the positive video. You reminded me of playing WuWa back in 1.0; I have a potato laptop, so running it is a miracle in itself. My favorite place in Wuthering Waves is always the Dim Forest, with that amazing violet Banyan tree after you've done the area quest, followed by Guixu Port City (hits hard after Shorekeeper's quest). The echo system blew my mind because every single echo is equipable. 1-cost, 3-cost, 4-cost, all of them have amazing effect (like the Cyan Heron or Lumiscale Construct to deflect enemies' special attacks), or Zig-Zag to slow down time (like Spectro Rover's outro skill). I think all the 1-cost and 3-cost echoes are underrated. Sure, they might not bring the best of your characters' stats, but they make the game more fun!
what a lovely talk! i agree completely with the beauty of the visual. just a couple of hours ago i was fighting Jue but once i won, i just take sometime by walking, not running, towards the rewards to appreciate the environment, especially the sunset/sunrise sky. beautiful!!!

On my alt account I literally speedran through the story and I got Encore and Verina in 30 minutes. The new player experience in this game is so good, if only the opening acts of the story were better the beginning of the game would be perfect. (the combat hard carried it for me)
While you're at it, why not give KuroGames' other (and older) ongoing game, Punishing Gray Raven a shot? Unlike Wuthering Waves, PGR is more of a mission-based ARPG where you enter stages instead of exploring an open world during gameplay. But PGR has a VERY fun combat design that perfectly captures the essence of what makes other ARPGs like the Ys series, KH, Scarlet Nexus etc. and stylish action titles like DMC, Bayonetta, Assault Spy etc. so thrilling to mess around in, in part thanks to how much progress the game has made in its development cycle on several aspects. PGR's combat could also serve as a reference to how Wuthering Waves' combat could potentially evolve overtime, especially in terms of the player characters' moveset playability. Also, PGR has hands-down one of *the* most generous gacha designs for getting its highest rarity units (S Rank) during their debut banners, and new units will always be added into the standard pool an update later, thus meaning you can still get them anytime outside of "rate-up featured banners" for 3 randomly selected S Ranks units. (Unless they're Collab units like the Nier: Automata trio, and just a 1 - 2 months ago, Black Rock Shooter, who are the actual "limited timed" units) Speaking of Collab, Punishing Gray Raven's producer officially announced that the game will have a collaboration with "Devil May Cry 5".
