The reason boats turn much better to the right, is due to the propeller torque. This is dictated by the direction of rotation of the propeller. The propeller turns in a anti clockwise direction looking from the rear of the boat, this torque assists in right hand turns. This is why most rc boat races are run on a clockwise race coarse with right hand turns.
Nice learnt something new there! Thank you! I thought it was down too the rudder being off set to the right, When it goes left the rudder may lift out the water.
@@thercstore. Yes all to do with prop rotation/torque, some boats actually come with an inline rudder. Where the rudder is in the centre of the hull directly inline with the prop ( rudder sits behind the prop ). Those boats still turn better to the right, you can in some cases offset the rudder to the left of the prop, once again the boat still turns better to the right. You can get the opposite effect where a boat turns better to the left than right, this involves fitting an opposiote clockwise direction prop, along with a opposite wind flex shaft. You also have to reverse the motor direction as well to clockwise rotation, this makes the boat turn better to the left due to prop rotaion/torque. On a mono type hull like you have 99.9% run the set up like you have on the Sonicwake, opposite direction prop choices are very limited. they are used on twin drive boats where you have 2 motors with 2 seperate propellers, in twin drives you use a left & right drive propeller.
This boat actually loses most of its turning to the left due to the self righting bladder. The right side of the boat has the electeonics and battery weight to help that side dive into a turn much better vs the opposite direction. Prop torque does effect the turning circle, but with this boat it is more the self righting bladder.
We've all had that maiden run. Seems y'all got not just the maiden with the Sonicwake, but your personal maiden boat runs as well. 😂 They are a bit different than cars and such. But still great fun.
@flatsix666 No, I don't believe you can. It's privately owned by the quarry. It's was an old quarry hole, so mega deep! I don't think there's many places you can use them unless you have permission!
The left turn in comparison to the right is normal. The reason the boat looked crooked was down to the self right compartment, If your not moving it fills up and sits lower on the left due to the water. As soon as you go the water empties out and its straight. The idea is when the boat flips upside down the left side of the hull fills up with water causing it to fill the right way round. Its clever yet so simple.
Ah ha I see, I should of figured as you explained in your previous video, still do not understand how the left turning is "normal" I can't make sense of that. Far from normal in my mind lol. 🤔 If I had a new car that behaved like that I'd be pis£ed
Water cooling is not fit for purpose. Not only are the drilled apertures on the transom too small, compressing the ID of the tubes, the tubing is also too small. Change to 7mm O/D and 4mm I/D tubing, ream out transom to 7mm. Had the same issue with this boat 3 weeks ago with zero water flow. Raised concern under warranty and Horizon UK agent were very helpful after first being skeptical. If your ESC overheats the boat will cut.
Find the lake in uk 😂😂😂😂😂 free access 😂😂😂😂without complaining people 😂😂😂😂 because Ducks, fish and other funny stories are good jokes👍 anyway, boat It's great 👍
@thercstore. I live in North London. I've been to so many places, it's crazy.. always something wrong. Most of the problems are people with unhappy life trying to make yours unhappy as well... I've lived in 3 countries, but none of them has ever had this kind of nonsense...
@TX010 If you watch boat videos, I don't think other countries have as many issues as the UK. You just got to get out there at a quiet time and have a blast. Sometimes you may have to travel a bit too. Check out a newer video with the sonicwake vs spartan.
@thercstore. You're right! Unfortunately, you have to jump in the car for a while and move on out. Can I ask where you are boating? Because that lake looks sweet:) and free 😉 I don't see any problems travelling for 1 or 2 hours for pleasure 😉
This boat will do 65mph with a prop change and setting up the trim tabs correctly. Don’t be fooled by others out there. I ran a doctor props 1644 and single 6s battery 6500mah. Boats do not like heat aka, drag, weight and insufficient cooling.
@@thercstore. For sure! I got triggered by another channel that was pushing high dollar products for this boat without doing basic setup first and insinuating that it was needed to reach the speeds being shown. One thing to review products and another to vindictively push them for your gain. Sorry for the rant..enjoy it!

Dope brother 😊
You make me want a boat now😊
Get one! you wont regret it!

@myisu827 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you.
It's great fun, but I am looking for a recovery system.
I'm looking forward to more runs.
3 months later I get a boat🤣 I can’t wait to gps the Spartan. Let me know next time your out with it👍🏻
Great video
Thank you!
This make me want to get another rc boat🚤👌🏻 nice to have met you and Kyle today 👍🏻
It was great meeting you all today!
Man, do it! Get a boat!
Love the video
Thank you, really appreciate the support!
Great looking lake! Where is that please?
@flatsix666 that's is Leicestershire groby pool.

Looked fun but that left turning compared to right can't be normal, I noticed the boat was sitting crooked in the water when idle?

I have a decent amount of trucks and cars, so I grabbed my first boat last week and.... Omg, I've opened a can of worms.
😂😂
Exactly how if I felt when I ran this ! 😂
