Mostly they wont ask you to write these code and all, just they want you to get knowledge about these stuffs. Simply they will how hashmap works internally or if you are asked to solve problem using hashmap then at the time you exaplain your solution, you should have some knowledge about this otherwise it will be more likely you are solving hashmap problems without having knowledge on that.
