Comparing the WF & John Barnes #2 and #7 Foot Powered Saws

WF & John Barnes of Rockford ILL was the largest manufacturer of commercial grade foot powered machiney in the world. The first machine they made, the #7 or large Saw as they called it, came out of John Barnes' need for a better way of making patent models. When Barnes ceased production of all types of their foot powered machinery
in the 1930's, it is likely well over 100,000 pieces were made. War scrap drives got the majority of these machines after electric power became available.
