Thank you very much for walking us through these metrics and explaining them so nicely.

The resampling method requires that the samples are IID, which you should be cautious about with ecological data. For example, nonstationarity over time can happen simply due to differences in weather. More sophisticated modelling can sometimes account for this problem.

really thank you for your remarkable lecture

This was really helpful and simplified. New to R but this really helps build interest. Thank you so much!!!!
Also a question- how do we plot these estimators individually in R?

The standard error of a statistic does not specify an interval for which the statistic would fall in the population. Rather, the standard error is a type of distance function. I expect that there are better ways to obtain an interval on total species based on the notion of cumulative optima.

Question: shouldn't sites be the top row with species in the first column? Also is the estimator estimating the average amount of species found at each site? Also, should i transform my data since it has counts of each species? I know my grad advisor said with counts its best to transform it with ln.

    Remarkable lecture
    Q: how can I manage the hill number (q=0, q=1, and q=2) diversity index in r ?

I was looking at the varespec dataset in vegan and wondering how or if these techniques would apply.

A valuable lecture. Mam, can you please help me in exporting all these numerical results into excel. I will be thankful to you!

Use function write.csv(). Arguments are x=R object being written, file= filepath to where data will be stored.

The content of this dataset is what is wrong with America. Keep in mind, this is the same university that had the student takeover not long ago.

@@josephokonofua4289 Look up Bret Weinstein at Evergreen College. It will blow your mind. This university was the first of the dominos to fall in the great avalanche of American academia.

I follow Bret Weinstein but what does that have to do with the dataset?
