Rand is completely right about pay for games struggling because of f2p. I play brown dust 2, nikke, wuthering waves, and genshin when am I supposed to play something else? I also watch anime and I've got tons of awesome stuff on these accounts. I can jump in instantly have fun and then jump out when I need to. Having to get to check points or whatever in a pay for game can be hard due to not enough time.
Seeing Phil sitting there in the front row as Sony stole the show was so funny. PS getting all the flowers while Phil is busy killing off the Xbox console. What a clown
Really interesting that PlayStation are chasing the live service bag and Xbox are not. I don't think the approaches are different. Just the situation. I think both approaches are a companies portfolio needs a balance of single player and live service games. PlayStation just has plenty of room for live service in their portfolio and Xbox don't. They have WoW, CoD, SoT, Fallout 76, ESO, Forza Horizon, Halo, State of Decay.
1:06:30 That's just weird because I think the difference maker on Xbox being the cloud and game pass is the reason why Xbox didn't do as well as it could've done. They need to defocus away from those.
Nope. Xbox the console is slowly dying but Gamepass subscribers are growing on PC. Your next "xbox" will be a PC and if you like Gamepass, this is where you will subscribe. Say goodbuy to xbox and welcome to good old Microsoft - the software company ! I know it hurts but it's better to rip the bandaid in one swift motion and move to PC
TGA really showed us that Xbox is slowly facing the end. Enjoy the next Xbox hardware because it will very likely be the last one. I can just imagine PlayStation making GOTY exclusives from not just 1P but 3P as well, FromSoft exclusives. Meanwhile Xbox console sales continue to plummet, 3Ps start to skip Xbox and MS announcing the end of Xbox hardware in 2030s. I always root for underdogs but I wish I had picked PlayStation 20+ years ago instead of Xbox. I'm legit worried about my library 5+ years from now 😢.
You are totally right . Even one says in one breathe. Ms need they money back the games not selling got to put them everywhere. It's more money all they care about is money . Then In the next breathe. Oh don't worry they will keep making console that don't sell. They will keep investing billions on hardware they don't even have faith in. That decline is sales every year since 2020. Never went up. Don't see how people don't know . They gonna cut the dead weight of the console soon as they can it's not selling .
@williammurray5987 They can't make game of the Year games with the hardware. What difference is not having hard work going to make. And even if they did it'll be like Red Dead winning game of the year. But does it matter really?
Even without the hardware they'll still be making games. Most likely full 3rd party if they stop making hardware but the games will still be getting developed.
Colt if you want to go by that logic PS5 is not an Xbox so is SteamDeck. SteamDeck runs on Linux and doesn't have Gamepass. You have to side load windows on SteamDeck. SteamDeck just get Xbox games day 1 just like PS5. PS5 will get more Xbox games day 1.
Steam making a console wouldn’t just appeal to steam players. It would be a cheaper pc option for lots of people who don’t like PlayStation. Just like Xbox your games will on pc cross save etc because it’s one steam account. It would do everything Xbox did but better. I feel like you would see a big move of players to it and it would put Xbox in 4th place
Microsoft keeps saving they want everyone to play their games everywhere. What if casuals. Just want to play that games on PC and console and don't care about all the other stuff. Except for testing or af work on break but not rhe main way to game. wonder they ever thought about that.
I think paid games struggling because its always something wrong with them. F2p games getting shut down left and right. It's not the f2p. Its making games people want to play space marine 2 helldiver's cod black myth all sell fine. Stalker come out a buffy mess. That the problem. 76 dollar for a game that might work day 1 is the problem i think

Hot damn lol
Jesus. No waiting intro should be longer than 5 minutes. Thanks!
You do the Lord's work...
I know why they played the same Xbox advert back to back. It made you talk about it Rand. Mission accomplished.

1:43:05 todd asked her before his speech about that and she clearly shaked her head and said she don't want to talk.
What on earth is happening with Contraband?

Gears 2 and 3 doesn't exist on PC. That's why the collection needs to exist.

It’ll be fine.

Your right but I'm sure without the hardware MS would be able to make great games even GOTY on all platforms
