Im gonna play this for the 1st time coming weekend and streaming at the same time. Whats your #1 tip for early game, that this video might not have covered? I cant wait to play this!! Over 200k positive reviews on steam is insane.
@@MistaH1N1 I'm a little late to responding, but my #1 tip is "Team play". Stick with your teammates, play to your classes' strengths, and mine that nitra! (Also be sure to get as much of every mineral ore you can) Clean them dry. Never want to miss out on potential nitra especially when the bugs come marching in.
All good and thanks for replying!! I streamed this with another streaming buddy of mine recently and we enjoyed it soo much we are gonna recruit 2 more friends and do it this weekend. 1st game we played was fun. 2nd game I opened public lobby and with a team of 4 it was soo much better!!! I think the biggest challange I see right now is knowing what to do. We did different quests and we had no idea what to do, our team mates knew so we followed.@@tylersmith9942

@@luisdimensity These are special perks. The variety is from: 'adds 1 dmg and 1 aoe dmg' to 'changing your ammo to nuclear payloads (+600% dmg) but you have like -80% max ammo'
@@luisdimensityOverclocks are unique weapon mods that can vary from just slightly changing up weapon stats / functionality to completely changing up the weapon into a different playstyle. For example, Scout’s Deepcore GK2 rifle without an overclock is just a standard assault rifle, but with the “Bullets of Mercy” overclock, the GK2 will be able to deal bonus damage against burning/frozen/electrified debuffed enemies with a drawback of a lower magazine size. There are three types of overclocks: “clean” gives a small boost with no penalty; “balanced” gives a moderate boost with a slight penalty; and “unstable” gives a large boost with a large penalty to the weapons. You can earn these by promoting a class, playing Deep Dives, or completing the weekly core assignment.
Little things i can add. 1- If you don't know what to do, alway be looking for something to shoot. 2- Mine your nitra with your shoulder to the wall never fails. 3- Never be shy to pick ammo upgrades. Damage one only work when you learn to use your weapons.
one important tip from me for any fellow greenbeards, get adopted by at least one experienced player, i got adopted by an entire group and i instantly got overall better at the game and if you don't you probably can ask people in lobbies for help, they tend to be friendly
Actually, the best way to deal with a bulk fast if there is a swarm already on doretta is to either sacrifice one chunk of her health, as she has immunity after taking permanent damage OR the much more risky and fun way which is to let doretta take damage, from the other bugs as the bulk approaches, then just before killing the bulk throw a shield down and heal doretta fully. Then kill the bulk on doretta. There is about a 4 second window of immunity after doretta is fully repaired
there is one more option, bulk doesn't seem to care about drilldozer at all, its just collateral damage. what it cares about is one of players, if team has brain and use it one of teammates will lure detonator far enough and then kill
@@countsudoku6305 true, but when the bugs are swarming dotty, you gotta stay close. Hence my suggestions being focused on if youre forced to stay close to Doretta

It's kind of part of tip 12, but please play the way you want. There's sometimes a mentality that people like myself fall into that you have to try and play the best, be on the hardest setting, etc. You don't need to be a leet Haz 5 gamer, you don't have to play to the 'meta'. My friends play Haz 4 and that's a challenge for me, when I'm solo or doing public games I mostly do Haz 3 because that's what I like. And that's ok! Don't feel like if you're not playing super hard you're not playing right, it's entirely up to you!
I just played my first game and the guy didn't have mic but at the end after a lot of revives I saw him write hell yeah you guys did great! I gotta watch more TH-cams before I get on again but everyone seems helpful
I'd like to add an addendum to tip 10. Adding a steep section to the start of every tunnel on the way back will allow Engi to seal the tunnel behind the group with the platform gun.
recently started with drg with 6 other friends and we fukin love that game! Thank you for your guide, that helps a lot! Greetings from Germany! Rock and Stone!
Back in season 1 or 2 I was scout and whenever I saw a vein I'd yell CHEESE PUFF and point towards a vein. It was hilarious and he was always on point with the placement. It was beautiful teamwork.
Ooo, magma graphics would be so cool! Like a lava-spewing praetorian, fire resistant grunts? Poison for the fungus bogs? I would love to see more variants and new enemies!
I see alot of new players that arent used to fps games start out on hazard 3 and they die a few times and then leave the game before it ends, probably uninstalling the game 5 seconds later.
quick an easy tip for nitra mining, each vein is only 2 smacks wide, to cleanly pick off every single bit of the vein, go from the very top or very edge of the vein first, then down slightly then back up, you zig zag when you mine nitra
Level 600 players jumping in to 50 - 75 % hazard missions, maybe mine one strip of morkite and end the mission while the noobs just wanna find some minerals for upgrades.
For the nitra crusts thing, generally for low levels if you're playing slow you make a good argument for it, but once you start to speed up your play it becomes less and less worth it to mine the crusts. As for the driller mining to the pod, if you aim a bit above the icon, it allows you to surface at ground level or a bit above it rather than under the pod, which can allow for easier mobility in and out of the tunnel if say a dwarf goes down. Otherwise solid beginner video.
I find that as you develop your technique for mining, there shouldn't be much crust left over anyway. For example, I'm a scout mining a horizontal piece of nitra on the wall, mining the "top layer" of the nitra leaves a perfect "bottom layer" to vanish off the vein. Even better if you mine close to the walls to easily dig out some space
You dont need to stick together all the time but always have at least 1 other person with you so you can rescue each other. Also nobody cares how you play unless they need to revive you 5+ times par mission.
