Yeah it came with the original receipt from netaporter, and all the tags were different to the fake ones and also on the padlock, the hole is the right way round and the handles , the extra leather bit is the right way round and doesn’t move . And it slouches correctly . I know it’s genuine
Wow, idk- that looks like either a ‘super fake’ or the real deal- I say this because the date code tag is sewn into the seam so well- that’s like the one place where counterfeits will skimp. That price is not indicative of any where near a real designer come-up (they sell online for upwards of $200 from the local consignment/private sellers. I saw one recently for close to 500. I think it’s a pretty inexpensive lesson if it is fake afterall. But the hardware argument could be the padlock got refurbished?? Also brass can act other ways depending on the moisture in the area/conditions it was stored...
A-Wear-Ness you made great points. Mainly refurbished. I keep forgetting that could be the case with previous owners of these pieces. And never gave any thought brass could go thru that? I will keep your comments in mind when I thrift from now on.
I own the exact same bag and I noticed the interior color of your bag is much darker than the authentic. Mine is more like an off white color. Yours looks more like beige brown.
Hmmmm? I didn’t think about that? The serial # is from 2005. The first year this bag launched. I’m sure changes were made to the bag each year after that to make it harder for counterfeiters. I’ll look into this & research more. Thx for the comment.
Shana B. I have a different version of paddington than yours but lost the padlock...so I replaced that and have also had my local cobbler repair/rehab the leather...so if mine was inspected it is not exact as it was produced....
I’m glad I didn’t throw this bag away. U r so right. The leather pieces on the handles can be turned. I have high hopes now 😃. For sure I’ll take a more close look at the bag this week.
You know… for all you know it’s real. Not all high end brand purses are the same. I have gone to the stores. In our country and abroad and purchased my purses in person. So unless the stores themselves sell fakes… I know for a fact that my bags are real however, as I decided to sell a few on a couple of online sites they came back as replicas or fakes 🤷🏻♀️. My gosh, things like the studs that you are mentioning… mine doesn’t look like that but they question the lock 😂. So, you might as well just have a real one. Leather cannot be faked. If you know about leather then you should feel more at ease, my other paddington’s cover handles stitching are also facing inwards and yes, I was at the store so, again you just don’t know.
Don't throw it away. Some people love dupes. There are people who don't care about carrying a fake. Also the lining should be twill not corduroy. That was a mistake that was made on one of the authenticating site/blogs. A young person, real or fake would carry the purse with no problem. Donate it, just please do not let it go to a landfill.
I am selling a Louis Berkeley etc, legit. I was at the store 😂 spent $$$ it’s old and I managed to ruin it but it’s being called fake. I feel bad for my purse. 😂I might just have the leather re stained and keep it. Same with a couple I inherited from a cousin and an aunt.
Aww your like me u would not feel comfortable wearing a fake bag. Truth is it's so hard to tell and no one would probably know but I know what mean in that fake don't feel right. I hope u get a nice bargain off eBay soon :)
