as someone who wnt trough the game 5 times by now - actually romancing Apollo is probably the only semi healthy relationship option in the game that doesnot end in tragedy XD
@@Ludohistory very fair. I watched the vod, I'm sad you didn't manage to save freddie, but, eh? Also sad you didnt watch the Amazing punk rock ballad for aphrodite, but Im of the opinion the song you got is probably best for first playthrough vibes to stay the way they were. Loved all the background info. Would love to see yall play through some alternate paths in the future
The way they made prophecies work is exactly how I understand them. Recivieng prophecies is only good if they help you, but the danger of a prophecy having a negative effect should cause you to avoid them.
1:50:00 I'm usually not a voice actor guy, but I couldn't get this idea out of my head that I knew the voice actor of Eros. Turns out he's on a ttrpg podcast I listen to! Man that guy can do All kinds of characters.
One book I like is George O’Connor’s Olympians series. His book about Apollo is narrated by the muses and he makes a reference to earlier sources only having 3 muses as well. If any of y’all who like this haven’t read those books, I highly recommend.
I was just enjoying the starting music, going about my day, and Adam suddenly cut in "Hello, hello, hello!" And I was so startled I out loud replied "Hello?"
I think my favorite part of this game so far is watching my fellow Greek Mythology nerds get their hands on it. I wish I had such friends to nerd out with over this game 😫 Also, I know everyone has their own cannon version of this game, but in mine my heart belongs to Apollo ❤ So everytime he's on screen I squee a little inside 🥰
Gods I love Pan’s accent, I’m a sucker for a Louisiana (more specifically Cajun) accent, in fact gambit from the x-men cartoon was part of my bisexual awakening
"Only when I look. I learned long ago not to." Me, having now played the game and learned a few things: Yeah, hindsight is indeed a b*tch. And I'm not talking about the Prophecy about Calliope 😶
It’s a Redism; it’s referring to the way words sound together in a row, and also echolalia. Red generally uses it when she notices (I think) a row of meaningless syllables that are particularly pretty to her ear.
@@Catchandelier22ehhhhh not really a redism in itself since it does come from the term echolalia which is sort of an autism thing but i do get what ur saying
This is basically the only pop-culture version of Persephone I've seen who feels like she's earned the "dread" epithet.
Yeah not even Hades the game has that
Hard agree, although if she counts I think the one from The Wicked + The Divine comes close.
This is fun my first play through I immediately ignored all my mythological knowledge and started romancing Apollo
and how did that go?
@@sora9138it can go OK for the time of the game, which is only a few months counting the epilogue
As you should. Good LORD that man.
"Its ok! He's just broken! I can fix him!"
@@CrownofMischief if you try, there's a very high chance you'd end up as a plant, which will then be worshipped as his symbol
I love that they cast Kimberly Brooks as the Oracle. Since she played Oracle - Barbara Gordon - in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
I like that picking a personality in the beginning locks you into a path. It's reminiscent of Greek tragic heroes being doomed by their fatal flaws
Here after seeing OSP's detail diatribe about this game. Not disappointed. I can not sufficiently express how impressive it is.
6:22 is when talking starts, 10:27 is when the game starts. Hope you are having a lovely day and let yourself take a nice break to enjoy the video 😊

I dunno, whilst it's a bit shaky, I think the Freddie and Grace relationship feels pretty healthy.
I agree Apollos route is probably the least heartbreaking but also I love Freddie too it’s just bittersweet
@@RasmusVJS Healthy, but tragic in all but one outcome
Which means that Red will now know about stray gods.
Let's fucking goooooooooooo.
This aged well
This aged very well
Very important: you can change the options to turn off timed choices
For both vibes and to keep stream moving, we very much intentionally chose to not do that, but the accessibility option is super appreciated!

I just noticed, the text on the fridge changes through out the game! That is such a weird, but fun inclusion.

Queen got adopted by a family known for their backstabbing for shits and giggles the fact she got a trial is surprising
Honestly it’s surprising Athena didn’t just say fuck it and jump over the desk to run her through
I love how they captured the bi sexual energy of the Greek pantheon here

Eros also voice who I think is the most underrated Assassin Bayek too
His voice during the red path of The Ritual is so good!
I knew him as Cyborg from Teen Titans, which took me off guard!
@@TheFrugalVideoGamerI’m pretty sure he never played cyborg in anything. You must be thinking of Pan not Eros?

That's exactly it - thanks for the correction!

Kinda wanted Apollo to drop in during Pans thing at the beginning and say ‘OI MY MUSE”
6:23 stream begins

37:00 For a moment there, I thought Calliope was crossed out (because dead). How did you position the spear so perfectly?
1:14:14 their three responses to the painting sound literally like game reactions. If I ever make a story game, I 100% want red and blue as VAs
this video motivated me to buy the damn game for myself it’s SO GOOD.

Returning for another rewatch (lost count, its one of my favourite background/fall asleep to videos) after finding out there will be a DLC
The moment I saw Eros I messaged my boyfriend going "OH NO THIS MAN IS GOING TO DESTROY ME" and he wasn't even the LAST guy I found SUPER attractive

I think you posted that less than an hour before the other one went live, so.... good timing?
hate the fight option for the persephone challenge
ALso what was the point in picking clever if you were not planning to use it?
One of the great questions in life
Why yall choose the clever path😭 the kickass path is the best you can take
Too many adds😅
