Honestly, great idea. I bet there will be a few certain hytale specific servers given their focus on enabling the community and giving them freedom, but there should be more because hytale will be so much more than a Minecraft clone, that’s already obvious

I think my biggest hope is getting to be a part of a thriving roleplaying server and building a thematically cohesive settlement while in character. What I mean is I want to have that Dwarf Fortress experience of heading out with a crew of likeminded individuals and building a grand dwarven fortress, complete with a grand dining hall, barracks, a library and of course, a vast mine network and railways system. That's the kind of stuff I want. To have that sort of running theme for a group and then splitting tasks between members so that the miners can concentrate on creating that vast mine system with its elevators and minecarts, farmers can concentrate on building a town and its economy up top and then send caravans out to some human town to sell their dwarven wares. I've always loved that stuff in Minecraft. Building a village of my own and populating it with NPCs from mods like Ancient Warfare, but it would admittedly be much cooler with other actual people.

Personally, I'm looking forward to just basic multiplayer servers, where everyone contributes within a ruleset, and perhaps with a combined effort building, scripting, and modding, you create a living feeling world. But minigames are always fun! I just hope it's easy to just jump in and out of various worlds (servers) as you mentioned. I'm hoping eventually the marketplace and server launch page can be a physical central hub in the game, where you can jump in and out of portals and make purchases inside of a hub city or town. It can also be a place where events are held for competitions, holidays, or just meet up with people and socialize. Almost a server of its own.
yeah that'd be cool depending on how armor and weapons are. I hope its not like some games where all weapons and armor are the same in defense / attack with like one special immunity / strength (dauntless) i hate those type of games.
It's almost scary how much potential Hytale Modding will have... I can totally picture people taking it to incredible extremes... maybe even like Civ 1, Hytale Edition... or Hytale Land: Super Heroes vs Super Villains... or Hytale Zombie Apocalypse, except Players can play as both the Survivors AND the Zombies... There may come a time when it's actually easier to list what Hytale Modding can not accomplish... then the Hytale Devs might learn of it and take it as a personal challenge to fix that situation. :P
Not entirely sure if monetizing Hytale is a good idea. Many of the maps and skins sold on the Minecraft marketplace could be made in just an entire afternoon. Just look at Mineplex's skyblock map, it's lazy. As long as the Hytale equivalent to the marketplace has higher quality maps, I'm fine with it. Aside from this, I really enjoyed the video. keep up the good work!
The way I see it they should only sell premade skins, but you can make your own skin for free. Or the other way around. Either way you need a way to make your own skin, and it better be a one time purchase, because If you can't make your own skin thats one aspect of creativity gone. If they can make it to where multiplayer is free, I wouldn't mind sacrificing paid skins tbh. That's one of the four things in this game that should be free, servers, multiplayer, modding, and maps. Skins aren't as neccesary, so they may be one of the things sacrificed for hytale to make money.
honestly everytime i think of hytale and those type of storylines i just get excited. Like there is so much backstory to 2b2t and iconic names like on a factions server having those iconic names and backstory would be sick. Like "2 years ago X clan raided A clan" and it was like a server wide war..., that would be sick.
Depending on the tools they give and the customization, honestly you could make like completely different games within Hytale, literally anything within this new world. I imagine if they give full ability to make whatever you want that this could basically be a template for people to make their own games. Making it easier to start with something and cut a load of work off. Anything could be possible for servers which makes this game have unlimited replay ability. Can't wait to see what people come up with.
I want a server that has regular Hytale survival, but also with teams you can join. Kinda like Elder Scrolls Online and their faction system and how you can join in wars between the other factions but having a player based economy where people can build and mine and contribute to your faction. Just throwing some ideas.
I also want something similar. I want a normal survival server where people can make towns if they want but no griefing or just random square houses in the middle of nowhere. And the random house in the middle of nowhere I generally think is ok, but in case they will just build and leave it, there can be a mechanic where you can build a house, but you have to pay a certain amount of tax depending on how large the house it. If you don't then the house will slowly decay like "Rust". Although I don't know how that might work. I am not a coder.

Well, Hypixel team is one of the most experienced content creators for minecraft. So they know exactly what players want and probably won't fail like Blizzard.

There might be filming servers, where you can apply for actor, camera man, etc. :) Personally, I'm thinking of tackling the scripting and modding tools to see if it's possible to create a single player stealth mod (inspired in the Thief series, of course), and if so I think stealth servers might also be possible. For example, imagine counter-strike, but with thieves and guards, but if you get caught you can choose to die or get arrested. If you die you wait the rest of the match, if you're arrested, you're redirected to a prison server where you'll have to escape the prison. :)
I actually did have an idea for a sort of cross between a roleplay and faction server where the mods would be a part of the overall government in the realm and would each run different guilds players would apply for jobs depending on what they wanted to do in the world i.e a farming guild, adventuring Guild, hunting guild, city guard guild, etc. Players would earn money from doing work in their guilds which would allow them to shop and stuff I.e a city guard could shop for food or leather at the hunters guild or ores from the mining guild. Anyone would be allowed to do whatever they wanted to do in their downtime of course i.e just because you were a miner doesn’t mean you can’t buy or make a fishing pole and fish yourself the guilds would simply be a method to earn money for the everyday things you would do anyway save for the city guard which would have the specific job of protecting against griefing and reporting hackers or other trouble makers to the mods Anyone could volunteer for a guild or you could even choose to sell your property privately instead which would allow you to keep all the money earned from your efforts as opposed to a salary Of course there would also be incentive for joining guilds bc it would make it easier for you to earn things or find the best farming spots etc and would help with earning exp in a built in reputation feature where obviously being a productive citizen would earn you rewards Idk it was just a thought I had
What about an rts type server, where you would use ores or other resources to spawn mobs that you use to generate more resources and destroy the opponents mobs. Maybe you could build some kind of block or structure where these mobs are spawned. Once all the opponents structures or blocks are destroyed you win.

Well i hope they'll really flash-out staff related stuff, sometimes certain commands is rather difficult to fix, or atleast give server owner easier tools to decide what the plays can and can't do, and therefore shape the server the owner want, - in a way more friendly way.
Have you considered doing live streams? I think it would be cool to discuss the game with your viewers in real time. I can understand if that doesn't work with your schedule, but I mean even just an hour of chatting once a week should be possible right? Just an idea.
What i would love to see is 'campaign' or story servers. Whenever I looked to play modded minecraft versions like pixelmon, All sorts of servers popped up that just let you run with the base version of the mod and little else - What i could never find but desperately wanted was a custom story/progression system complete with NPC interactions, and semi-linear progression based around a prebuilt map with certain areas where players would be allowed to roam free and build (E.G, you have you pre-build campaign, but unlock access to certain 'safari parks' where its back to the function of minecraft - An entire lets say 1k by 1k world set in one biome (similar to the now defunct GL Desert server) where players can create their themed hideouts / towns and take a break from the linear story to catch pokemon outside the generation the story is set in, themed appropriatly to the safari world biome)) No idea if that makes any sense, but i would love to see full on custom campaigns/scenarios to play through, not just random quests, all set within an unchanging world with some sandbox areas. Sort of a hybrid between adventure maps, aRPG's and the typical sandbox voxxel building game.
Ideal server that I would want would be an apocalypse scenario , where players spawn in different areas , work together to build a village into a city then into a kingdom and so on. Basically a Hardcore survival with respawn to keep playerbase high but with penalty.
To be honest I wouldn't rly like to see stuff in hytale as in roblox. This is mostly because roblox has a very odd community I myself play roblox but would not like to see a currency for items

Automation. I doubt the game will launch with it. But my favorite mods for minecraft are automation mods. Creating big machines, processing resources, solving logistics puzzles, making sorting systems, managing energy? That's my absolute favorite thing to do. Tech mods with a side of a thaumcraft.
For me it will ever be the Kingdom Servers 2 Kings and the people who work for the kings fight against each other etc till one of them won but you can still start and rebellion or something not factions or something but really kings who rule and you have to do, what they want from you farmer,fighter land measurer ect XD
Since the integrated modding support is a central part of what makes Hytale special, a server that allows various mods to be created and used sounds cool (although hacks and op mods would ruin it)
I think, at first, we will only see servers like the ones in Minecraft. Mostly minigames, factions and prison servers with a few modded ones sprinkled throughout (the Blockshot Network being one of them). As the community becomes more familiar with the potential of Hytale's modding site and the fact, that modding a server does not at all make it less accessible, as oppose to Minecraft, we will be seeing some quite insane variety in the server list. Hopefully, it won't be like roblox, where we only have tycoons upon tycoons with a few actually well made games strewn throughout, but rather actually good quality on the front page, something for everyone.
I would like to see an economy like Entropia’s. They peg the value of their in game currency to the value of the dollar and it can be converted back and forth at no charge.
Sooo much Praise for Hytale, but am i the only one who sees that HUGE Logic Hole?! They mention in Texts (for example when explaining Shadows and all that) again and again there's a Sun, and we also see the Sun above the Player on the Sky. YET THERE IS NO SUN. When we see things from Space, when we see that Place where all the Planets reside, there is, in fact, not a single Sun or Moon. So, there is no Sun, but there's a Sun. Am i the only one who noticed that?!
Will our hytale world evolve around us and change as we go along and when we die in game do we respawn as a new character or do we stay the same and go to our items/grave will we get flamethrowers or fire Spellbooks to burn down the bug hives
Server ideas Speed runner In this server type different people can join into a game and it’s a race to beat the game, the way this will work is that it will have a randomly generated world (or pregenerated but it will be exploited if so) where like 100 players with different game modes like teams (10 teams of 10 players or 4 teams of 25 players), Free For All (100 person free for all), duos (50 teams of 2 players each). In which each team or person must defeat the game faster than everybody else and once somebody finishes the game the server will reset into a whole new map and start all over again, you can have PvP in this where people can eliminate a higher but there should be a PvP shield. MMO probably the most thought of in which it’s an MMO rpg or an RPG game with levels and skills (a lot easier to make happen with Hytale tools) Minigame Hypixel server pretty much PvP Just players fighting it out

From what I'm getting, it seems like Hytale will come out with a base game with it's own content and maps, but then on top of that, people can build their own maps (servers) with their own imagined content? If that's right, are player-based servers really part of the game in the sense that if you get some type of gear from a player-made server, it's with you anywhere in the game? I really don't want microtransactions. If i'm paying for a game, I want it to be a one-time fee. getting cosmetics through achievements is a decent system! I would rather pay $35 once.

I don't like the idea of paid mods or maps either. I don't mind modders and mappers making money in some way (in fact, it's better if they do), but having game content behind pay walls just divides the player base. Unless it's single player stuff, that makes no difference that I can tell.

Man imagine an anarchy server with all the ugc Hytale allows
Well i hope they'll really flash-out staff related stuff, sometimes certain commands is rather difficult to fix, or atleast give server owner easier tools to decide what the plays can and can't do, and therefore shape the server the owner want, - in a way more friendly way.

Have you considered doing live streams? I think it would be cool to discuss the game with your viewers in real time. I can understand if that doesn't work with your schedule, but I mean even just an hour of chatting once a week should be possible right? Just an idea.
What i would love to see is 'campaign' or story servers. Whenever I looked to play modded minecraft versions like pixelmon, All sorts of servers popped up that just let you run with the base version of the mod and little else - What i could never find but desperately wanted was a custom story/progression system complete with NPC interactions, and semi-linear progression based around a prebuilt map with certain areas where players would be allowed to roam free and build (E.G, you have you pre-build campaign, but unlock access to certain 'safari parks' where its back to the function of minecraft - An entire lets say 1k by 1k world set in one biome (similar to the now defunct GL Desert server) where players can create their themed hideouts / towns and take a break from the linear story to catch pokemon outside the generation the story is set in, themed appropriatly to the safari world biome)) No idea if that makes any sense, but i would love to see full on custom campaigns/scenarios to play through, not just random quests, all set within an unchanging world with some sandbox areas. Sort of a hybrid between adventure maps, aRPG's and the typical sandbox voxxel building game.
Ideal server that I would want would be an apocalypse scenario , where players spawn in different areas , work together to build a village into a city then into a kingdom and so on. Basically a Hardcore survival with respawn to keep playerbase high but with penalty.
To be honest I wouldn't rly like to see stuff in hytale as in roblox. This is mostly because roblox has a very odd community I myself play roblox but would not like to see a currency for items
Oh, you were talking about the currency, yeah, robux is bs and turns the minigames into a p2w garbage.
But aside from that, i would really like to see some servers with unique themes (instead of just skywars, eggwars and all those common minigames servers)

Automation. I doubt the game will launch with it. But my favorite mods for minecraft are automation mods. Creating big machines, processing resources, solving logistics puzzles, making sorting systems, managing energy? That's my absolute favorite thing to do. Tech mods with a side of a thaumcraft.
For me it will ever be the Kingdom Servers 2 Kings and the people who work for the kings fight against each other etc till one of them won but you can still start and rebellion or something not factions or something but really kings who rule and you have to do, what they want from you farmer,fighter land measurer ect XD
Since the integrated modding support is a central part of what makes Hytale special, a server that allows various mods to be created and used sounds cool (although hacks and op mods would ruin it)
I think, at first, we will only see servers like the ones in Minecraft. Mostly minigames, factions and prison servers with a few modded ones sprinkled throughout (the Blockshot Network being one of them). As the community becomes more familiar with the potential of Hytale's modding site and the fact, that modding a server does not at all make it less accessible, as oppose to Minecraft, we will be seeing some quite insane variety in the server list. Hopefully, it won't be like roblox, where we only have tycoons upon tycoons with a few actually well made games strewn throughout, but rather actually good quality on the front page, something for everyone.
I would like to see an economy like Entropia’s. They peg the value of their in game currency to the value of the dollar and it can be converted back and forth at no charge.
And maybe a trading system like wynncraft that makes it impossible for players to scam each other mechanically.

Sooo much Praise for Hytale, but am i the only one who sees that HUGE Logic Hole?!
They mention in Texts (for example when explaining Shadows and all that) again and again there's a Sun, and we also see the Sun above the Player on the Sky. YET THERE IS NO SUN.
When we see things from Space, when we see that Place where all the Planets reside, there is, in fact, not a single Sun or Moon.
So, there is no Sun, but there's a Sun. Am i the only one who noticed that?!

Will our hytale world evolve around us and change as we go along and when we die in game do we respawn as a new character or do we stay the same and go to our items/grave will we get flamethrowers or fire Spellbooks to burn down the bug hives

Speed runner
In this server type different people can join into a game and it’s a race to beat the game, the way this will work is that it will have a randomly generated world (or pregenerated but it will be exploited if so) where like 100 players with different game modes like teams (10 teams of 10 players or 4 teams of 25 players), Free For All (100 person free for all), duos (50 teams of 2 players each). In which each team or person must defeat the game faster than everybody else and once somebody finishes the game the server will reset into a whole new map and start all over again, you can have PvP in this where people can eliminate a higher but there should be a PvP shield.

probably the most thought of in which it’s an MMO rpg or an RPG game with levels and skills (a lot easier to make happen with Hytale tools)

I am for sure moving my little RP/Worldbuilding server to Hytale. This game is going to be far more supportive of RP than minecraft.

You really font realize the potential, this is a game were you can CREATE a guild base, tktally customize, if the servers alows create your own NPCs having raids bosses and dungeons made by the community and original, and even event (exam will be spawning a giant ant nests in some places of the maps by the admins, and making a reload of yhe same each time someone complete or fail it)
And if you put some mod things like the summon magic, more magic, and menus(related to magic) sword arts, etc etc, you can make an even greater MMORPG game than WoW,
For give a perspective, you can make an yggdrasil from the anime overlord into a reality

the anarchy server should just make it ffa gamemode so every can break any block, build anything and have a set of basic armor and weapon and lock them in it so they can't change anything.

I'm interested in modding and hope I'll be able to code decently enough by the time Hytale rolls in. While I love the base game of Hytale, I also really want to make a Dragon Ball mod for it. One that doesn't take away from the Hytale experience too too much.

Sorry but I am indeed uncultured as I never played Minecraft. I don't really even understand the idea of a "server". From what I'm getting, it seems like Hytale will come out with a base game with it's own content and maps, but then on top of that, people can build their own maps (servers) with their own imagined content? If that's right, are player-based servers really part of the game in the sense that if you get some type of gear from a player-made server, it's with you anywhere in the game? Someone please explain lol

I don't like the idea of hytale having a marketplace for mods and maps, because i feel like having to pay to play a map or a mod is going to force people who don't have that much money to be stuck with just the normal game and the servers
I don't like the idea of paid mods or maps either. I don't mind modders and mappers making money in some way (in fact, it's better if they do), but having game content behind pay walls just divides the player base. Unless it's single player stuff, that makes no difference that I can tell.
