Don’t mean to girl splain to you but just a few notes of things you probably already know.
He said the line about “my boyfriend told me…” partially because this was released on Valentine’s Day. Lots of date nights.
Part of the heavy reliance on katnanas was because it was cheaper than guns. Part of the budget thing. That is why he left his huge bag of guns in the taxi.
The reason people want you to watch Logan first is that there is a big spoiler for it in Deadpool 2. It depends on whether you care about that spoiler or not. Personally I wouldn’t have cared.
