I remember being in the third grade, the son of a deployed soldier, and being plopped down in front of the TV with the news being blasted in my face. My mom would make me watch the news while she couldn't (in the mornings before school while she got my younger siblings ready). My job was to read a never ending list of names. Not just any names though, no... Names of all the soldiers that had died since the 'war on terror' had began. Basically I just had to read the names and make sure if my dads name came up, to tell mom. I knew why he was there. She came and got us from school the day the planes hit and made me watch that too. Now, she didn't tell me what the names meant, but I was a smart kid, and caught on almost immediately. I hope to see you one day on stage, I was supposed to come and see you in June in Milano, Italia, unfortunately the concert was cancelled, I hope next time to have the chance to appreciate your music in concert ...!
Thanks for everything 🙏🏻
This song makes me think a lot about how i, as a young man myself, take a lot of aspect of life for granted. Here i am complaining about things not going how i want them to when there are young men my exact same age fighting on battlefields under the hellfire of a million bullets. Things that i am doing they can only wish they had time for. Peace and love to those fighting in war.
That’s beautiful dude…
Hey who knows. Now we may know what it’s like for them, wether we like it or not. Considering how things are going for the United States right now.
@SomerandomShmuck ummmm...excuse me? Please enlighten me I'm not caught up when it comes to politics. Am I hearing war?
@@yuiigarashi5208 very big possibility that Congress is considering the conscription. Especially today’s world and considering Americas current foreign relations. As selective service has already been established since World War 2.
These last two albums are absolute masterpieces
Makes me when my childhood. God help us all
My favourite SOAD song so far, lyrics, instru, how they sing,...so underrated song !
I just remembered this song and came back to witness the glory of it once again
I know I'm way too late for anyone to see this, but the first time I heard this song was when my friend's mom, who is a veteran, played it on the way back to her house. She sang it quietly the whole way home. I was 16, and had to stop myself from crying the whole way there. Powerful stuff
This is the song and maybe the final song you hear when you go out in war.
They recruit more and more people to go out to war, but yet so many soldiers never return.
It's so sad that this song is so true and it's still so relevant. 🤧😭
sim

Never clicked so fast
Clássico do Rock.
This song speaks to so many struggling countries
Thank you for all service men and women serving in the Armed Forces.

"Blessed is the Costa Rican mother who knows, when giving birth, that her son will never be a soldier ”
"Dichosa la madre costarricense que sabe, al dar a luz, que su hijo nunca será soldado”

No army in Costa Rica, I love that.
Hypnotize is my favorite album
Everyone has a soldier inside. The one that has to fight uncountables battles every day. The sacrifice and the lost battles are the burdens that we must carry all our lives.
Such a beautiful song
God bless this song
My favorite soad song for sure, so heavy in the themes but also so magical towards the end, love it
Grew up to SOAD :) and just seeing them come back just makes me so happy you guys are SO AMAZING!!!!! legends
Makes me happy to be able to see comments on these videos again, feels like a piece of the charm of these songs were missing once TH-cam turned comments off on band channels

Pure beauty
Legendary song
No song from this band has made me cry until i heard this.
Now this, this one holds a very special place in my heart, I’ve always had the most respect for those who’d put their lives on the line to protect their families, and when a friend was getting me into System, they showed me several songs, and something about this one in particular stuck out to me, it’s a masterpiece of songwriting and making
