Tank you for share. I was looking for understanding our RFU630 reading field. We have this Rf scanner mounted vertically and reading a slightly hidden Rf label. Does the scanner require line of sight?
Hi Wayne, thanks for your question. In general RFID does not require a line of sight and can also be used to read through non metallic materials. Due to the fact that each application and set-up can vary we would recommend to contact our experts and discuss your topic in detail. Please use our SICK Support Portal (supportportal.sick.com/). Here you will get immediate support.
If the RFID tag was attached on the inside of the box can the RFID reader be able to read it? (the box shown at the start of the video that looks like its cardboard)
Dear Seekery Tom Fain, The RFID tag can be placed inside the box. RFID does not require line-of-sight. As far as the box material is not electrically conducting as e.g. metal, the tags inside can be read and written without restriction. You will find more information here: www.sick.com/de/en/topics-and-knowledge/rfid-know-how-identification-using-rfid-technology/w/rfid/
Hello gentlemen I would like to know if you have any video tutorial on how to commission the RFU 63xx antenna for a plc S7 1500 from Siemiens Thank you very much in advance
