- Episode 6 of my SOBO thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail takes me through 147 miles of Washington wilderness all the way to the Bridge of Gods at the Washington and Oregon border. I take you through Goat Rocks Wilderness and around Mount Adams in this episode.
It's starting to feel like I'm finally hitting my groove on the PCT! My knee isn't bothering me and my body seems to be adapting well to the bigger miles. It feels good to experience such incredible alpine on my own and I'm so excited I get to share it with you!
It was such an emotional moment when I crossed over the Bridge of Gods. There was a group of people walking the other way and they all cheered for me! It was amazing!
I really hope you enjoy this section of my hike and all of the videos from Washington! Thank you so much for watching! I can't wait to show you what PCT Oregon is like!

Well, Washington was outstanding to experience with you. So glad you showed us quite a bit of the flora in this one too! Can’t wait for Oregon.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for being here!

Thank you so much!! Appreciate you watching 🥰
Your videos have become the highlight of my Sunday. Can’t wait to see Oregon!
Aw yay that’s amazing! Thanks for watching!
Great job and congratulations! I've been following your journey. Your videos are magnificent - so well filmed and I almost feel like I'm on the trail with you. So much fun to watch such a motivated individual. You are a strong and brave woman!
That was epic, Great job!!!!!!! A perfect milestone for such an amazing section. I am planning on doing that section one day.
I hope you do!! Such a stunning section!
Another excellent Beautiful section. Love your positive happy personality. Looking forward to the Oregon section.
Very well done Krysta!! Feels so "real" being on your shoulder as you take this journey.
Nice again!
Thanks again!
Good morning, new subscriber happy Sunday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
your videos and your voice make me feel so cozy and happy and excited to start my own thru hike. Thank you so much for the videos!
I'm really enjoying watching your adventure. It's making me excited for summer hiking. Thanks for sharing these videos.!!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
I felt emotional for you at the end! What an incredible achievement, what rich symbolism with the Bridge of Gods. Every aspect of your being must have been moved by the moment! Thank you for uploading such gorgeous videos, I watch them when I need calming and centering, it gets me back on track to see such beauty in the world in a video that isn't over stimulating like most of social media ❤
Outstanding! How nice to experience Washington with your incredible filming. A couple of sections their reminded me of Jurassic Park with the beautiful ferns. Thank you again I can't wait to see the next section in Oregon😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching! So excited to share my Oregon videos soon!
Wow, you are cruising! I guide hikers through Goat Rocks with llamas and I can tell you that most hikers find 10-12 mile days to be challenging there. The trail isn't easy. I hope you had time to really appreciate Goat Rocks.
It was such an incredible section! I truly enjoyed it!! This was quite a few weeks into hiking every day, so I was really getting into the groove of things!
Would love a list of what music you listened to and podcast! Which motivated you the most?
I may have teared up a bit at the end of this video. I live in the PNW and have hiked portions of the PCT over the years + I've driven over Bridge of the Gods a bunch. I'm excited to watch your Oregon stretch, as that's my "forest neighborhood". Thanks for creating beautiful content for us to enjoy. You seem like the most lovely and kind human. :)
The scenery is breathtaking!
Great video. One of my favorite sections of the PCT.
Very cool!! Thank you for sharing Washington! 💜😁✌️🌲🥾
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations on finishing Washington, thanks for sharing and taking us a long
It must be an amazing feeling to know that you just walked clear across an entire state!
I followed your trip on Instagram all of last summer/fall, and it's such a treat to see it again through this long-form lens! Thanks for taking us along with you.
Thank you so much for this beautiful video!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Thoroughly enjoying your videos. Being from Europe and loving hiking, it’s great to get to see a long distance trail in the USA. I really like how you show the natural beauty as well as how you present yourself. I felt proud of you for crossing the Oregon border 😁 and can’t wait to see what is next. Thank you very much for sharing!
Glad you like them! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment. I’m glad I get to share the trail with you 🥰
Another amazing video of your PCT hike❤. I know you have probably answered this question, but how did you get video of your walking away and walking to places, it’s quite effective, as if you had someone with you taking the video? Your videos are so well produced, can’t wait for the next one. Thanks for sharing your adventure with the world👍👏🥰
This looks easier than the Great Divide Trail… so well marked! Well done on timing when to do this - loads of people will surely try and start when you did.
I like to see interactions with other Hikers, Trail Angeles, Zeros in town . These are important aspects to your thru hike journey. Doing Great !!! Kept Pounding those miles. 9 Lives 🐾 Appalachian Adventure Guides.
Your comments on solitude really hit hard with me. I am a wilderness fire lookout and only see a few people every month. Over 4 months, I only had 20 visitors. Some weeks I wouldn’t speak to anyone! It is a weird feeling :)
Oh wow that is a lot of solitude!! It’s interesting to enjoy being alone, but then reach a point where you really miss people
Your videos excellent, and give a real insight into what it takes to hike the PCT.
Another wonderful video. Keep up the great work.
Yay! I'm excited for Oregon! Sometimes I dream about hiking the PCT but I'd have to do it in sections over years. I think I'd start with Oregon, I've heard its the shortest and easiest. Guess I'll find out!
Another beautiful hike and video. And congrats to finish Washington. Greetings from Switzerland, Benjamin
Enjoying your videos! Followed you shorts last year
I absolutely love your videos!! I found your channel a few days ago and binge watched thru the PCT series and most of the CLDT series as well! My boyfriend and I were gonna do the PCT this spring / summer, but for various reasons we decided on the Via Dinarica instead, which I think overlaps with the CLDT! Watching your videos has ignited once again my love for hiking, and can't wait to get on trail! Thank you!
Wow!! So glad you enjoy my videos and thanks so much for watching! Sounds like you have an amazing hiking season coming up. So excited for you!! 🥰
Beautiful! Congrats on finishing Washington, bridge of the gods is pretty iconic even outside hiking (Thanks Reese Witherspoon) lol Love the new graphics as well
Thank you 💜💜! Yes it’s so iconic! It was quite the cool experience
Great Video. Thanks for the inspiration! Plant Papa
Any time!
I’m really enjoying your hiking videos. I hope one day I can hike the PCT or the Appalachien trail (I’m from Md) . You truly inspire me to do so. Safe travels on your journey! And I’ll be watching as long as you’re uploading lol
Yay! So excited for you if you get to hike one of those trails! I really appreciate you watching 🥰
Ah! I thought you were editing and posting these WHILE hiking.
This is such an amazing journey. I hope to do this one day. I’m running out of time I feel. I must make this happen soon.
Thanks for creating these amazing videos.
Awesome accomplishment of Washington! Actually, that is my personal PCT goal--just to do WA. I have been on bits and pieces of the PCT over the years but never the whole thing. Can't wait to see what Oregon holds for you! I loved the Three Sisters Wilderness.
Thank you! That’s a great goal! Washington would be such an amazing section to do! I met quite a few people doing it!
Love your pct journey , new follower to follow along 🙂 . Such a beautiful trail
Welcome!! Thanks for watching 💜💜
Congrats on your journey!
Thank you!!
Great series. I too have climbed Adams and the rest, but always wanted to do what you are doing here.
Looking forward to Oregon. I live in Bend.
Congratulations! What an accomplishment! This last section was seven days. How do you keep all your devices charged for so long enough to listen to music and podcasts and film?
Bridge of the Gods is a major PCT landmark, NOBO or SOBO. I am curious about the weather in the Sierras when you are starting later via the Southbound route. It could get pretty dicey (and icy) I am thinking. I am enjoying your journey … thanks for sharing.
Such a landmark!! The weather holding out for the sierras was my biggest concern throughout the hike, but I increased my mileage as much as I could and that helped me get there in a good amount of time. I both planned well and got lucky, the sierras were in perfect condition when I got to them! More details to come as I keep editing and releasing these videos 🥰
Silly question of the day. In all of your other hikes you've set distance goals in kilometers and have no doubt developed an instinctual sense of how much effort is required per kilometer. At this point in the hike were you doing miles-to-kilometers calculations or had you adapted to just using miles?
Hi Krysta - really enjoy watching these longer episodes. I’m wondering how your food supply is going. You had shown gifting extra at the first or second leg. Are you finding that you’re using it up between re-supply?
Ha! Nevermind 17mins you show eating extras at lunch.
Yep by the end of Washington I was eating through all my resupply! Took about a month for my hunger to increase enough!
Amazing journey! did you encounter any bears by chance?
I saw 1 bear in Washington. I then later on saw like 6 more in California
Baby wipes are good for cleaning feet
what model tent is that?
It’s a Dan durston xmid pro 1
Your comfort on the trail makes me want to hike.
Love that!
