Hey! Thanks. Yeah sure, here's my rough training schedule: Monday - train 6:30am for an hour Tuesday - sometimes train around 1pm for an hour, then sometimes judo sparring at night for an hour Wednesday - train 6:30am for an hour, sometimes around 1pm for an hour as well Thursday - sometimes around 1pm for an hour, then sometimes judo sparring at night for an hour Friday - rest day or open mat in evening Saturday - 8am training 1 hour Sunday - Morning open mat, then 10am training 1 hour Oftentimes Friday-Sunday though there's no training since I might be flying out for a competition.
Fantastic work man only I was going to say was the first ground games you were doing 5 min each but think you figured it out was to long we like to work around 6 min a round and flip flop it each time there a win or 3 min each with a 30 second rest I between for me this is the best way to train the CLA way the old way is not the way anymore you want your students to leave the class having a understanding of what the class was about and what they objectives were to figure out and on the plus side there burning a lot more calories then a regular class . Keep it up man 7 Jiujitsu uk 🇬🇧
Yeah good points from both of y’all, thanks for the input. I coached another class last night, and actually I ended up doing the thing where partners flip flop back and forth during the round. Cool to experiment with different methods and see how the people in the room react. And yea sorta to the point @kodiakcombat made, when I’m training with my friends for example, I love sometimes not having to switch back and forth on a win, or doing really long rounds etc. All constraints that have different benefits for sure!
@@joshbeambjj yeah that’s fantastic I do believe the higher belt level you are you can make the timer longer and open up the constraints more to good stuff man keep it up your Chanel good man
Thankyou for the class Josh, just switching to BJJ after a couple years doing Japanese Jiu Jitsu, your channel is awesome, so much to learn 🤙

Time is a constraint. It has an effect on the environment. There is no "best" time given the numerous other variables that can change day to day.
