Wonderful video, I have learned a lot - a "new world"opens! One comment: I guess you can escape illegal SQL terms, with "SetVariable" first and use ExecuteSQL as calculation?
Great video! However, the TOOL menu doesn't show up on my bar, so I can't access the Data Viewer. I'm just learning to use FM and currently have v16. I would appreaciate the help!
The Tools menu was only available in the Advanced version of FileMaker in versions prior to 17. The Advanced version costs a couple hundred dollars more than the Basic version. When you upgrade to v17 or above, you get Advanced automatically, because at v17, Claris stopped selling two versions of the program. However, in v17 and above, you still have to use the Preferences command and turn on the Use Advanced Tools checkbox and then re-launch FileMaker. Then the Tools menu will appear on your menu bar.
Not only is the information presented clear and transparent, the slides' format is aesthetically pleasing. Well done.
Thank you very much!
Some of the best FileMaker SQL training ever! Thank you!
My goodness, that is very kind! Thank you!
This is the best explanation of this I have seen. I wish I had seen this years ago. \"Thank you\"
Just what I was looking for - Thanks so much for the great video
I am so glad it was useful to you! Thanks for watching.
Great explanation... what about field names with spaces?
This is a good video.
Man.. You are a legand!
You are very kind! Thanks for watching!
