The walkie-talkie feature on the Armor 26 Ultra (depending on version) is a game-changer for off-the-grid adventures. And the 120Hz display with Dimensity 8020 processor makes it a complete phone.
uSmart expansion connector is for me one of the key things in diagnosing problems as a mechanic, certainly as a long-time user of Ulefone, this model is on the shopping list... And one of my favorite things about Ulefone is definitely the real FM radio, for which you don't need an antenna or internet, just a real old school radio.
Great review - Question, can the walkie talkie scan the VHF/UHF bands and can you plug in a particular frequency. I am a ham and this has application for me if the VHF/UHF radio has flexibility.. scanning, operating on 140mhz and above etc...
Seems promising I might just get this one but I heard the Armor 28? (Ultra?) is getting released somewhere in this coming November? So I’m not sure if I should get this or the 28
Armor 26 ultra has GPS L1, L5 but not satellite messages, for them see Armor 23 Ultra. Don't forget that you have a monthly/annual subscription for satellite messages.
@@GSMaholicToo bad satellite news 😔, it has the same processor as the Armor 23, together with the radio and satellite news it would be a perfect device for the field 😔 It was even stated somewhere that it has satellite news 😔
Yeah it's not if you look tons of people have problems my phone battery died now it won't turn on after only 2 months, don't be fooled like I was, now I'm just about too go on holiday and have no phone, never had this with even cheap nokias from Tesco's. Seriously if you look into it tons of people have these problems I will never buy another ulefone
I found ulefone is a very interesting phone brand 1.got own case for each model 2.some model have charging dock 3. IR sensor as remote controller 4.FM radio without headphone as antenna 5.still have headphone jack just bought armor 22 😊, my next phone will be ulefone 😊
These rugged phones are mid grade budget phones. While it does have the latest OS the chipset is no where near the Apple 12 in performance. I still question the camera actually doing 200mp because most top end phones hhave 64mp or below yet take better pictures or video vrs this Ulephone. The downside is these phones whether this or Doogee while sold in the US have little to none support if you need repairs especially if you are lucky and they honor warranty repairs that would leave you stuck shipping it accross sea with a long wait. Also any firmware updates to fix and improve the phone as well security updates would be near non existent. That said I don't think it is a bad phone but rather know what you are getting into if you buy it. China does not regulate their products very well meaning they are likely well above safety standards especially boasting large capacity lithium ion batteries thst could potentually rupture or catch fire. Even the well know rugged CAT 62 pro phone uses a smaller capacity battery around 4400mah which is pretty high for US or other country standards which are regulated. I just say use with caution especially in extreme heat conditions.
That's right, you have the classic thin screen protector installed at the factory, and you also get additional tempered glass if you want additional, better protection, you can apply it yourself.
It is good for everyday use, but if you work in a demanding job and the phone can be exposed to impacts of various kinds, I recommend the tempered glass that you get in the package.
Depends on your taste. The 24 has thermal imaging while the 26 ultra has night vision which the question to ask, is it true night vision? No tests so no conclusions. The 26 ultra has a 3 watt water proof speaker very loud from what I heard at 128db. This phond gives the new meaning of a brick phone, it literally is that thick and probably could knock someone out if you throw it at them, well unless you are a soyboy and can't lift a pencil 😂.
The Ulefone Armor 26 Ultra's 6.78" fullHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate is impressive. Combined with the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC, it promises smooth performance.
even so could you wait for full version of this phone to review? it is such a waste opportunity to review the incomplete verrsion because no one review this useless version
In terms of performance, they are similar, both fast and fluid, but the Armor 26 Ultra is still a somewhat professional smartphone with additional options and capabilities.
I have the Ulefone Armor9, and after six months the GPS reception went really laggy, after a year mobile reception decreased noticeably, around two years mark the Wi-Fi started dropping out entirely on top of already poor signal all the time. Three years on and the touchscreen is non responsive about 50 times a day and requires screen lock/unlock to start working again. That's after three years of use in an office environment. This is a rugged phone.. seriously? Hardware issues are understandable, but Ulefone's service centre dismissal of any claims of problems of this sort existing on a wider scale, advice to have the phone reset to factory settings each time and generally really poor and unhelpful attitude is not the after sales support a global company should be delivering. Overall really poor product and bitter customer experience with Ulefone.
@@factsevidenceagainstmarxis4474I'll take security updates over those major Android revisions. Google already messed up my phone's access to certain folders and the microsd cards (for 3rd party apps) as well.

I bought a robust Ulefone 18 as a successor to my Sonim 8. It's true, that Ulefone is strong, heavy and the battery lasts a long time. But technically just a worthless Chinese thing. I regularly have to restart due to problems, after which the home screen looks completely different again. If I use the wireless charger the same, I have to reset the screen to everything I had. If you ask Uelfone something, you get a reset to factory settings, but then you lose all your data again. In short, not buying is and remains a disaster. Peter Mastenbroek
A very fat phone with out projector, thermal! Only the ancient walkie talkie function that reminds the first rugged phones of the 00's! Why buy this and not the Tank 3 Pro? (And looks alike to it)
This Ulefone is a real professional smartphone, not a toy like Tank that pretends to be tough. I had a Tank 3 model, full of bugs, the camera was unusable... If you don't believe me, look on the forums to see what people say about the Tank...

The only thing I find with these phones is that the side buttons get pushed in too easily. They need to make them a little stiffer. Also if this had the satellite option would make it perfect and I would buy it. But I guess I will have to wait. The walkie-talkie option would be cool for out in the bush hunting. Would be nice if you would mention the distance that it goes

Yes, but for example if you work in the field, at a job where there is dust, dirt, various particles of shavings, then it is better to have a cover so that such things do not enter the charging port.

They are required to send everything to the Chinese government by law.
