Will Grandma and Granddad be living with you full time? How many rooms will you be renting out when the Chateau is restored? Who is the gardener of the family? How many acres at the Chateau? What rooms are you working on first?
You have a great opportunity for paying guests and probably wedding venues. Will you be holding festivals, your own outdoor antique fairs, craft fairs etc?
You’re soo welcome Choochoo! Appreciate it can be a big place and people can lose their bearings so nice that we can help people find their bearings. 🥰
Just love your family! Nothing phony about you bunch. You don’t take yourselves so serious and are very genuine. Your grandparents are adorable. I appreciate how you point out from above what you are talking about. I am enjoying watching your journey progress.
Absolutely stunning! So exciting to see how you progress with the garden. I actually love the cart idea and what a wonderful and a different feature for the courtyard. The green house is very unique and I think secretly your grandmother has claimed it. As for grandad get him some go faster stripes for his tractor. You really are an amazing family and a delight to watch on a Sunday. Can’t wait for the next episode (and the bloopers as it does make me chuckle) Have a super week all 😃👍
An amazing property and you have already done so much to improve it! Glad I don’t have to cut the hedges!!! Lol. You have spent considerable time and effort showing us the layout of the grounds and it is much appreciated.
Only just discovered you and have made it through all the videos now. Looks not only like a beautiful chateau, but you all together seem to be a great team. A very refreshing take on the genre of chateau-YT. Keep it up, and I really look forward to the next video! Cheerio from Ireland.

Loving your Chateau and your video presentation is the best ever. Keep up the great work!! You are the most amazing family. Hugs from the Okanagan in BC 🇨🇦🍷🍷🍷💐💐🥰🥰❤️
Looks fabulous 👌 but adding extra windows to an historical building sends shivers down my spine. For one it will be an enormous task with the thickness of the walls, two you will destroy the symmetry that the building has from the outside. Have you even checked to see if any windows have been blocked that can be reopened up? Sometimes you have to renovate to the building and not to your own designs. For more light in a room you could do light tunnels in the ceiling from the attic or just simply more lighting.
Thanks Debra! In case you missed it, we left a pinned comment on the second floor video saying that thanks to the comments from so many - we were wrong to mention the windows and that we are considering alternative options. Thanks for taking the time to comment though! Jake
Fantastic garden, and yes, awesome job on that magnificent hedge! Loved seeing Grandma’s tour of the green house!! I don’t have a garden anymore, but when I did, my favorite lettuces were packets of gourmet baby spring greens covering a sizable section of a bed in mass. Enjoyable to cut daily with several regrows. At my place I had to have raised beds and fence because of all the wonderful wildlife. Your place is really stunning.
Your video was very interesting, just like the others. You are all very good in front of the camera & the camera is amazingly steady (a big plus for those of us that get motion sickness...). Switching from person to person makes it more interesting. And the "radio silence" incident was quite funny. If there are no green leaves left on that tree then it is likely dead. How unfortunate since the trunk is beautiful. Unless it is somehow preserved (no termites & rot) & kept dry it will come down in a storm in the future. I look forward to watching your chateau transformed.
Things are getting exciting...Can not wait to see your step by step progress...Thank you for sharing your journey! It is so lovely to see the entire family involved...
This is the most beautiful chateaux ive seen through all the youtube channels i follow.around 20....stunning grounds .a beautiful choice.good luck to all of you.👍
Oooo hidden treasures! Original features! History! Oh the anticipation! Love the little courtyard cart, it's exactly where it should be, and man do I want to pull on that lunch bell! Radio silence...haha while that seemed out of place in a chateau vlog, it brought a literal lol from me! The drive around the chateau, and Danielle standing by the fountain in front of it made me realize how simply breathtaking your chateau really is! The front gate and entry will be gorgeous when it's redone and your greenhouse is probably the best one I've seen yet, oooo can't wait for that rebuild to happen! Wells, fountains, pools, ponds?! You can never have too many water features! ok guys, once again, I simply LOVE your vlogging style, the opening and closing shorts are a wonderful peek into chateau living, and the aerial shots (maps! 😀) of where you are, are such a big help! Well done!! xo Oh, and bye Charles, thanks for helping, see you soon!
Is there a way that I can upgrade you to become a member of our family? You could be on standby to offer support throughout the day! Always love reading your comments Cynthia! Glad you enjoyed another of our videos though!
What a fabulous video. So nice to see all the different areas of the chateau. The greenhouse will be beautiful if you put glass back in. Thanks so much for sharing.
This is lovely, what beautiful grounds you have. The aerial shots were very helpful to get bearings. I wonder how three of you are going to keep on top of all the maitenance given that there would have been a team of servants in the past. I can't imagine what the payments (community charge equivalent, energy etc) per year will be. Best of luck in making it pay for itself, I sincerely hope you make it and look forward to your progress. I love that the whole family are joining in.
Thank you CAMB! We really hope we can start getting an income from the chateau sooner rather than later to keep up with paying all of the costs to renovate and upkeep the chateau.
Ok here is a positve comment for Dad this time, lol, 😉😂 loved your radio silence comment. Too funny. I really liked the greenhouse, in such good condition overall. The fountain and little ponds were great too. Looks like a cherry picker is going to be on the list of needed equiptment. 😁
I don’t have a question all I have to say is it’s my first time watching i am going to be watching every episode from now and I love your chateau beautiful garden . Your grandma and grandpa are so sweet . It would be good if you can get the greenhouse up and running for them I think they both would love that it would keep them happy all the best see you soon . I found your channel and I love your Chateau, there are so many new and interesting things you keep finding at your Chateau, love the fountain, and I hope you will be able to dig it out more and back to what it was like those many years ago! Keep up with the great Vids. Will you be sharing the address of your Chateau?

Do you think you should try and do a commentary in french or German and it would perhaps give you more people watching. 2. When you start filling up the wine racks do you think you might buy local wines. Maybe also have wine tasting evenings.
We don't speak fluent French or German? People watching are able to select the subtitles of their choice so they can read what we are saying. We also have lots of the local wine in the wine stores already, just need people here to drink them!
What a lovely tour of your property. Cracked up with the radio silence bit. Love the drone shots. Looking forward to the history lesson regarding the history of this beautiful chateau. Is it just family and friends helping out? Are you accepting work away volunteers? So happy you will be restoring the fountain, greenhouse and hopefully the wells. Job well done and thanks for sharing 😍😘

How did you come to choose de Bruges? Did you look at other châteaux?
Will Grandma and Granddad be living with you full time? How many rooms will you be renting out when the Chateau is restored? Who is the gardener of the family? How many acres at the Chateau? What rooms are you working on first?
What is your business plan for the chateau besides renting out rooms? Are there any outbuildings that you will be converting into gites?
You have a great opportunity for paying guests and probably wedding venues. Will you be holding festivals, your own outdoor antique fairs, craft fairs etc?
When will the renovations inside begin?
I just LOVE the way you keep giving the overhead view to put things in perspective for us! Your Granddad is as good as they come!

Are you planning on restoring the chateau to its period or modernizing it. Will you be replacing the furnishings with authentic period pieces.
Luxurious look but with period chateau styled furniture and fittings.
How many will be living in the Chateau ,family members that we see in this video now.??
I have added the question to the Q&A list for next week :D
How much acreage do you have?
I think I read that these ponds were used to wash the horses. Don’t quote me 🙂
Oooo that's an interesting turn of events! Will have to ask some of the locals.
That looks like a slave/servant bell.
Who is Jenny?
A family friend of Danielle’s family.

We're not 100% sure its actually dead. But when we seek advice we will do what's best for the longevity of the chateau and the grounds.
It takes 100 years for trees to grow what a shame
A real shame, but their positioning leaves us very little option.
Absolutely enjoyed this vlog. It's wonderful to see how much your family has already accomplished. 😊
