Many of these stadiums looks like english ones in the same period, but a combination of the fascim regime wanting big multi-purpose stadiums, the war and the fact that they were owned by the municipality and not by the clubs meant their demolition. Maybe we could have had Italin stadiums similar to english ones nowadays
italian clubs move around a lot more than ckubs here in england. our teams go through 1 stadium roughly every 100 years. amazing to see these images. those bloody fascists were terrible with the life ending but they knew how to build beautiful stadiums haha
Italy is known for its disability to make proper stadium. They spend a fortune late 80s ... but the only result is CRAP stadiums. And now due to corruption, bureaucracy it's hardly impossible to build a stadium. It takes decades. As example see the rubbish stadium of Calgliari.
