Sorry guys say you around before, just started full time viewing of your videos great job on giving some background , on the cars great videos
That TA Challenger was a highly option car in it day. Now they are GOLD
Oh man this was great, I was as excited as you guys were, and yep the keys were still in the column! Great stuff!
Blown away by the shape the cars in, that's truly remarkable. Fantastic find and I can't wait to see it in person!
Hahaha you guys know me too well I absolutely have a love affair with 70 plum crazy TA challengers
What a kick ass way to store and engine 😧👌👏.
Wow, very little metal rot.
My first Mopar bought in 1981was a 69 Roadrunner, 383 four speed with the pistol grip. I bought it for $200 because it had a rod knocking. I spent $150 for a junkyard 383. Sold it when I blew the clutch for $200. My wife and 2 kids came first. My second Mopar was 71 Dodge Demon 340 auto on the column. Price ? $350. Ran like a scalded dog, but needed a new rear quarter panel. Traded it even for a 67 Chevelle SS. My third Mopar was a 71 Satellite Sebring SE. 400 auto. Price ? $450. I personally saw 140mph in that one. Traded it for a work truck, so I could haul scrap since jobs were impossible to find under the Carter administration. They are out there still, but never at those prices. Man I miss the 70,s.
Awesome! Cool stories, bet you don’t miss Carter tho 😂😂😂
What a BEAUTIFUL T/A,! Just like it is!!!!UNBELIEVABLE
And the friggin keys are in it !!!!!
Thought for sure by the advertisement pic this car was going to need floors and trunk pan replaced but wow it really was preserved well considering its location! Great find and will look great at MCACN. Cheers
Sweeeet!!! hard to believe not much rust in that car. Also better start packing a leaf blower in the trailer....... 😀
Fantastic save! That one will be an attention grabber at MCACN.
I love your stories and appreciate you sharing and saving these vehicles. I am a huge Mopar fan.. I own a 2019 challenger TA.

I’ve heard of “A Barrel of Monkeys “
But never heard of
“A Barrel of Mopar Motor” 😂
Badass!!!!
Yeee Yeee!
This is a great find & im glad it is going to be revived. Were you able to confirm if it was Jerry McFadden the murderer's car? Also did you mention during the video what you paid for the car?
Now that's the way to keep a motor how I found a hemi or 2 back in the 70's I tell people all the time waste oil parts barrel little diesel and clean parts too definitely a dream find shy of the storage unit I seen in 2010 full for six pack and hemi cars and more nos parts than I had seen even at the dodge garage I worked in in 1978 / 79 crazy if it is the plum crazy car , and I have not seen a car out in the open come out looking that nice that sat in weather wow .
Kool find , 340 4spd would've been the cat's meow 😅 , but dang still a sweet find !!!
They are still out there....
Sweet Find!
good find guys excellent cond body wise .cant wait to see it cleaned up, i am in OZ and a friend of mine had a 71 SE 383 727 challenger converted to right hand drive ,small back window white vinyl roof in a mid metalic blue color.,was super clean ,
Six figure car restored.
Six figures to restore it tho so it’s gotta be for the love, not the money
Outstanding find! You guys won the lottery! I'm thinking I would have had an orgasm in my pants! Lol! I doubt very much that this will ever happen again the way it happened for you guys! It's possible but very unlikely! Definitely a one-of-a-kind find that probably will never be duplicated! Especially because of the rarity of the car! I'm jealous! Lol
It will happen again, and again, the next 5-10 years will be incredible for finds like this to come out from hiding. Gonna be epic but unfortunately sad too
@@ChasingMusclecars_Mopars5150 One of my friends had a 1970 TA Challenger in the lime green! It was absolutely mint and all the original! Unfortunately he overestimated his driving skills and absolutely totaled it! Believe me it was beyond repair luckily he survived! It made me very sick when I saw the car! His parents bought it for him when we were in high school! At least he got 15 good years with it! If only we could go back! Lol! I know I'd have a barn full of cars! Lol
@@Mike-ww5vr that car is fixable today, we fix cars like that in our shop. They make everything for those cars now.
@@ChasingMusclecars_Mopars5150 yeah I understand you can basically build a car with simply the VIN and the tags as long as you have one piece of metal the weld onto! But unfortunately this is before this kind of work was being done and the car went to the junkyard! He was twisted up pretty good but thinking about it now I realize it could be rebuilt! But in that time and age it was totaled! I'm not much older than you I was born in '68! I have a little collection not Mopar wish I had Mopar! Lol! I'm down to my 71 Nova SS, 84 Corvette with an 800 horsepower motor in it, and my 1971 Torino which is a base coupe with a 256 in it but it's only got 53,000 original miles and it's absolutely miny,! I'm going to feel bad when I pull the six out of it and put it a mild 302 or 351 as my Corvette is my fun car per se and I treat it as such! Lol! I had a 72 SS Nova it was my high school car that was absolutely mint and had a 383 stroker built to the hill in it! Had it in storage And one day I went to get it out and open up the door to an empty spot where my car used to be! I literally puked! I'm still looking for the car to this day every time I go to car shows and the drag strip I'm checking Vins! Lol for the time it was a fast car, my fastest time I got out of it was 9.68 at 139! Needless to say I was very disappointed because when I was going to get it out it was because I was going to give it to my oldest son for his first car! Plus I had some big money in it especially the engine! Lol But I am glad I stumbled upon your channel and I will now be watching your videos!
@@ChasingMusclecars_Mopars5150 if I come across something I will definitely let you know first! I mean I would have grand ideas but I also understand reality and my abilities! Lol!
Hey guys. What about the 66 Barracuda in the background? Would you have considered that?
I bought a like new 65 Barracuda in 68. Black with gold interior. A tough little 273 high performance, four speed Hurst with posi traction. Sold it when I moved Down Under in 71. Hope it is still out there somewhere.
I didn't hear if they said what they paid. But it's a great find! Since they don't have the numbers matching trans they MUST make it a stick!!!
I love those rims what are you talking about = their not original but sweet
Hello , do you know if the blue Indy truck was for sale , I was wondering...
Of course the mopars are still out there the only problem is people think they have mopar gold.i laugh cause when i wAs a teenager i was buying them for 500 dollars all day long and im 52 now.
You should of taken a leaf blower with you it would of been faster ,blowing leafs out instead of scraping them out lol😅😊❤.
This is the perfect case for the saying. "It's too good to be true"...
The antenna was mounted in the rear because of the high voltage ignition
No cause of the fiberglass hood, would have caused ignition interference with radio signal
Hard for me to understand how people leave cars like this sitting out in the weather for years without doing anything with them! Basically have a junkyard in their back yard.
It’s easy to understand when you know the background. When your wife is sick the stuff you think matters doesn’t anymore. He needed income to care for her so unfortunately his shop where the car was stored needed to produce income. You do what you have to when you need to take care of your wife and kids. He just wasn’t ready to let go of the dream of restoring the car yet. We blink and 6 years goes by 🤷♂️ Luckily for this car he did let it go before it got bad.
I know where a plum crazy 1973
I spotted a 440 rt plum crazy white stripes bill board in outback Australia covered in cow crap and dirt with a cowboy hauling ass down the rural back road ,iblows my mine was only few years ago ,he over took me
Wow what a great find! That 340 is one special unique block for the T/A !
