Max speed I saw was over 2100m/s, which is well over Mach 6. Assuming this was done at 60fps, going from 0m/s to 2100 m/s in a single frame at launch would be over 12,830g's of acceleration. Because the result would be the same if Steve had every inventory slot filled with a shulker box full of netherite blocks, the boat experiences nearly 160.9 TRILLION Newtons of pulling force. The tensile strength of the fishing lines is is well over 80,000,000 Gigapascals (assuming perfectly even distribution of stress between all 32 fishing lines, and a cross-sectional area for each line of 1/16th of a block, which is a VERY high estimate. The actual strength is much higher, because fishing lines in minecraft are quite a bit thinner than 1/16th of a block). This is 400,000 times stronger than multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes, which have the highest tensile strength of any real-world material. Me on a parity server when I'm on bedrock and I get roded by a java player in a bamboo boat:
I actually used this video to compute the acceleration due to gravity in minecraft because why not
Yes I know this data already exists but I wanted to figure it out myself
WARNING: PHYSICS AND CALCULUS AHEAD
In projectile motion and free fall, altitude at time t (or simply x(t)) is given by x(t) = -g/2 * t^2 + v0 * t + h0
where g is the acceleration due to gravity, v0 is the initial velocity, and h0 is the initial altitude.
The launch starts at 1:10 and ends at 5:26, for a duration of 256 seconds. The fall starts at 3:18, exactly halfway in between. (In fact, the fall always starts exactly halfway between the start and end)
For simplicity sake, let's mark t = 0 as the beginning of the launch and t = 256 as the end. The fall starts at t = 128, exactly halfway in between.
We know x(0) = 0 (because we haven't launched yet), so from that we get:
-g/2 * 0^2 + v0 * 0 + h0 = 0
h0 = 0
We also know that at t = 128, the boat goes from flying to falling, so its velocity at that rate is 0.
We will need a new equation: v(t) = -g * t + v0.
You can easily get this equation simply by taking the derivative of x(t) with respect to t.
Now plug in and solve:
v(128) = 0
-128g + v0 = 0
g = v0/128
Not very useful right now since we don't have v0, but there are two ways to remedy this:
WAY 1: Measure v0
The video shows v0 is approximately 2000 near the beginning.
g = v0 / 128
g = 2000 / 128
g = 15.625 m/s/s
WAY 2: Measure altitude
At t = 128 the measured altitude is about 130 km. So:
-g/2 * 128^2 + v0 * 128 = 130000
g * 8192 = v0 * 128 - 130000
g = v0 / 64 - 15.869
Combined with g = v0/128 from earlier, we get:
v0 / 64 - 15.869 = v0 / 128
it'll be easier to solve for v0 / 128 instead of v0 directly since that's our g
v0 / 64 - v0 / 128 = 15.869
v0 / 128 = 15.869
g = 15.869 m/s/s
According to the bedrock wiki, gravity for boats is 16 m/s/s. That's... actually pretty close ngl holy shit

you should see how far horizontally you can get instead of just landing in the same spot
The anvil at the end was unexpected , u have a spy bot that tries to get rid of you in the name of sovietic union
Now bring an elytra up there and go flying for as ling as you can with no fireworks
Me: “I can water bucket clutch that”
Mr necromancer back at it again
If the render distance allows us to see 1048576 blocks, does that mean we aren’t actually seeing the entire minecraft world and there is much more than that. If so, how big is a minecraft world from one end of the world to the other?
About 60 million blocks.
never knew a silly thing i've found would go so far
I wonder what the world generation would look like with the Continents mod installed when you’re that high up
My question is : is that a default random map? I thought there was more water... the oceans look so tiny from the altitude.
Thank you, great video.
This is a vanilla minecraft world in 1.20.2. Minecraft world generation algorithm doesn't really create big oceans.
I am infertile from eating scented candles. The
What
correct. you win a car door
@@oreotheuser what this means
It means you win a car door
Can you make an bots series of them doing what hardcore surival players do, I think this is realy good idea, carzy projects crazy farms with just you telling them what to do and not mining a single block in that world and i think the ending should be after the 24th video so it doesn't overstayed it's welcome. Things like building big bases and gettling every block, item, and armour trim all in separate video's, if I could so this idea I would but I dont have a pc that can run java minecraft :( use this idea if you want I'd be happy to see this done and grow your channel soner rather than later because if I did it it wouldnt be dont for s long time.
Scripting such bots would present a lot of challenges I am not quite ready to overcome unfortunately.
@@MahtogMC darn, I'd love to see you do something similar to mining like your last mining video but extreme or how this "mod?" works.
How far can you travel if you aim yourself at different angles? it would be cool to see you fly thousands of chunks and land in another base or something
Anvil one was on spot lmao
You forgot parachutes didn't you? Didn't even do gravity turn, no wonder you fell instead of reaching orbit 👍
I forgot my pickaxe, had to go back to get it
I was watching this through the youtube preview, but once u hit me with that pigstep line i had to click on it and give it a thumbs up
the speedometer at the bottom is not showing speed its showing velocity.
And also the MC world is 4x the size of eart so the Karman space line is to be higher.
I love the pig names 😂
*equips mace*
here when there is 8 views!
You're early!
imagine using this as a launch to glide with elytra
Next up 256 players
now do it with a boat inside a boat containing more boats with each boat having a pig
Really puts into perspective how terrible the minecraft "oceans" really are
Now I'm curious how this would look with StardustLab's Continental installed
I like that you used DH this time :D
Cool and chill at the same time
