- Donald Trump’s campaign was warned about not taking photographs before an altercation at Arlington National Cemetery during a wreath-laying ceremony earlier this week to honor service members killed in the Afghanistan War withdrawal, a defense official told the Associated Press.

I served in the Military in and Around Arlington National Cemetery. Never has anyone been asked to NOT take pictures. The only requirements around The Tomb of Unknowns is " Silence and respect."

Arlington national cemetery is filmed all the time for movies and what not. Trump is there with the families of men who are heroes and he is honoring these men.
They said a particular section not all of the cemetery because we all have clearly seen parts of it.
Campaigning by photo-ops is NOT honoring those Veterans. They violated Arlington National Cemetery rules. That is dishonor!

Shared this particularly today when a candidate decided to make a sacred grave a photo op. This is not the families fault. It was done by someone who knew the rules and believed he was above them. That his staff felt so privilidge to shove around a woman official and call her hysterical by trying to enforce the rules. Perhaps there are Americans who have not truly embraced the hallowed ground of Arlington and all military cemeteries.

After voting for Reagan I join the U.S. Army. Starting my military career as US Army Ranger and finished my career after 21 years in Military Intelligence. I have friends, soldiers I commanded and family member in Arlington National Cementary.
The history, tradition and meaning of these grounds can only be understood or comprehend by those who lived their life and continue caring the traits of Honor, Integrity and Valor in their hearts and moral values.
It's the main reason why Trump can't comprehend or understand his actions weren't right. When a person falsified medical documents to avoid been drafted is a clear indication of not only cowardness, but the lack of integrity, honor and valor.
As you can see Trump has live a life of deception and lies since a young age to manipulate others.
The two families who invited him to the ceremony did nothing wrong. They just simply invited him.
However, any former real President will have followed the policies and regulations of Arlington National Cemetery and respected the tradition of these grounds.
If he was actually planning in advance to attend the ceremony he could easily coordinate with the cemetery personnel to have some authorize to take the pictures or video.
However, what probably happened as a normal behavior of Trump always thinking about him first and assuming he is above any laws or regulations saw the opportunity for a political stunt to attempt to calm down all the anger among the majority of veterans due to everything he has said since 2017 negative and disrespectful about veterans, POW, Medal of Honor and fallen soldiers.
Veterans are human being and such we are not perfect. So there will always be few exceptions.
However, the majority of us we love our nation. Some have been wounded, die or developed emotional disabilities defending our democracy, laws and freedom.
There are many of us who still believing in integrity, honor and valor. Who understand and respect our military traditions and miss our fallen friends and family members.
It's these group of veterans who WON'T lose their moral values and self respect to conceived or excused Trump behavior towards veterans and our military institutions and history. We don't bow to a wannabe King.
In regards to Obama picture he was invited on Veteran Day to give an speech. Every picture taken was coordinate and taken authorized personnel with the previous a authorization of the Arlington National Cementary management.
You see everything done in accordance with policy and regulations. Like a real Commander and Chief should do.

My family were the very first veterans in this country and first POW’s and I have no problem with the president being with the families, it photographs were taken so be it, it’s not a trespass or an injury so no law was broken- it’s just a rule and they’re meant to be broken in the face of tyrants.

He was there by invitation. Trump also offered to submit all his recorded video of the incident as proof. You didn't mention that part. I notice that you did fail to mention that Joe Biden was also invited, but chose to lay on the beach instead. Harris too was invited, but was too busy avoiding interviews and reporters in general to risk an appearance, even though they are the current administration. Yet, after reading the letter, you disregard it and state that it means "literally nothing" because there's a police report. The FBI put over 70 agents into the crowd on January 6th (they admitted this under oath in Congress). It's not a stretch to consider they sent an agent or two to monitor the ceremony at Arlington. Keep shilling for the democrats though, at least you're transparent about it.
The Trump campaign is not releasing any footage of them trying to enter a restricted area or pushing a cemetary official. The recent burials had nothing to do with the wreath-laying ceremony, & the relatives of those deceased didn't even know the campaign was there. No, no campaign gets to wander around collecting stock footage to use in ads!

There are many ceremonies at Arlington and they are coordinated and conducted in accordance with the proper decorum. It is not like the sidewalk in front of your local DMV. Daddy Trump's money kept him from being drafted. I am a disabled vet hoping to be buried at Arlington someday. Trump has refused to have disabled vets in his photo ops because he finds them disgusting. He calls military members and vets suckers and losers. He dismisses widows of the fallen by saying their loved one "knew what they signed up for". He characterizes our Medal of Honor as a booby prize. He calls prisoners of war losers because they got captured. When he hears "Call to Colors" he keeps talking asking if it's being played for him instead of showing the proper respect for the flag he likes to kiss and drape himself in when cameras are near. He only sees those of us who serve as pawns to be used in a parade to salute his power or to score political points. So, yeah, we "lose our minds" when he callously treads on those things we value and honor.

He also made a similar comment while in France, declining to visit an American WWII cemetery in Belgium using the rainy weather at the time as an excuse. 75% of his former staffers have been recently documented as not supporting his current candidacy.
