On April 1, 2008, IGN debuted a trailer for a movie based on Nintendo's Legend of Zelda. The trailer blew up on IGN's website -- and clever viewers spotted the hints on its credits screen that it wasn't, well, real. IGN and filmmaker Sam Balcomb teamed up to create a believable April Fool's prank, which made hundreds of thousands believe it was a real project (and who were very, very angry with us).

After all these years from this event Nintendo is actually rumoring a potential live action series and is posted on their website if they do I hope it's based on Tears of the Kingdom to boost popularity on Zelda games there is no real confirm date or trailer only that Nintendo has officially rumored the real thing.
We'd rather have a mature live adaptation of Majora's Mask. That would be epic!
@@MostlyLies Check their website or social media for more updates on it. It could be a mixture of everything if Nintendo had it their way. Hopefully it's still good btw I meant movie not series it would be nice though maybe in an alternate reality lol.
