A lot of social conservatives say they're fiscal conservatives because it sounds more mainstream and rational... using it as cover.... They say they're rejecting social programs etc because we need to balance the budget, etc... but the real reason is often more about race, class, and extreme religion. It's not like they're actually doing the real detailed math and seeing what we can or can't afford.
BINGO. Exactly this. They always mask their racism as "balancing the budget." This is also true when they rationalize the bloated military budget. Many of those "evil" social programs would be a minor project line item in overall DOD spending. But our bombs never drop on white, Christian people, do they?

No one has even mentioned that President Biden may have been "slipped " something to make him fluff the debate,. So how come Trump kept repeating that Biden will no doubt be on "uppers". We all know how Trump accuses those he hates of doing the things that he has or will do,.
I saw a recent interview with a prominent businessman who explained that most are keeping quiet out of fear of retribution should Trump win. They support Biden but fear the consequences of Trump should he win if they speak up for Biden.

I've been keeping track of Corporate profits since 2020 when the pandemic created such instability that led to corporate free for alls. They've been artificially raising prices & shrinking products with packaging very deceptively marketed.
A bunch of big box stores just announced that they would lower prices to get people back. Because they realize the free market is supposed to be competitive not corporate cashouts. But are they gonna make things bigger? We live in an oligarchy that breeds contempt and distrust, not competition. They say the most powerful man in the world is the president of the USA but it's actually the billionaires that keep him paid.
It's a puppet show. Don't mind the curtain and definitely don't research agricultural subsidies or corporate greed. Just enjoy the show.
