Yay! Frozen dead guy finally got a home🎉. I haven’t heard about the move. i’m a Colorado native who has watched this drama for decades. I’m glad it has a happy ending.
It's a beautiful hotel... although the Jack Nickelson version wasn't filmed in the hotel.. Mr King redid it to be filmed in the Stanley.. fun fact though, Dumb and Dumber was filmed in it
@@mackgutierrez1942 No, but it makes you wonder who you could have been if you were born with your exact genetics at any other point or in any other set of circumstances 🤷🏼♀️
I think the idea is that the liquid nitrogen evaporates from the top down, like any other liquid. So if the tank has a leak, the most important part of the body - the head - would be the last part to defrost. In fact if you do want to get yourself frozen at death, you can get only your head frozen to save a few bucks. It’s no more crazy to assume that you could be resurrected from just your frozen head, than from your whole frozen body. P. S. The newscaster says maybe you could be cloned in the future too - to do that just requires freezing a few of your cells, you don’t have to freeze your whole body or your head. But cloning would be like making an identical twin of yourself that won’t have your knowledge or memories, maybe not the same personality either since they wouldn’t be raised in the same environment.
My question for Alcor or the families of those frozen in their facility is what happens if say 15-20yrs from now they go bankrupt and go out of business? What happens to all of those “patients” remains? Do they just get thrown to the side? At least for Frozen Dead Guy he isn’t under the care of a big business that risks going out of business right? However I’m sure with Alcor they thought about that in the future and in the event they go out that they have it drawn into the contract for their “patients” they will be provided with proper burial or cremation in the event of Alcor closing up shop?
@@chairmanofthebored8684I personally think souls are unique and could never be cloned. We can't prove nor disprove the existence of souls, could be dark matter for all we currently know!
The fact that the unsinkable molly stayed there is fanominal ...but the frozen dead guy..thats really pushing the creepy factor off the charts ...i probably couldn't be in the same room as the guy what if u were staying there went down stairs no ones awake and ur looking at him and he smiles or opens his eyes i think i would scream so loud there would be high risk of land falls lol
If he had actually read the book, The Shining, he would have known that it was way different than the movie, which Stephen King hated so much that he did a newer movie that was made for TV.
This doesn't belong in EP! The rights were bought, EP has zero to do with anything relating to Frozen Dead Guy days. Just another way to get tourist dollars.
I know the guy said that the dead guy "looks fine", but I can't help to find funny that after so many years of being kept frozen with just ice instead of being stored in a proper freezer connected to power like he is now, he might not have stayed "fresh" enough 😂They'll end up reviving a zombie.
Kubricks shining was great as a kid. Now I’m grown it’s pretty overrated and crappy. Especially compared to the book. The 90s remake was more on point.
Frozen dead guys days is always a good time. I'm glad this story has continued on for this man.
Seems like they’ve done everything with respect. Very cool seeing others step up when the grandson couldn’t anymore.

Not dead. He’s just chillin…😂
😂
Like a villain waiting for a Killin like jack is back lol
Yo if it ends up working this comment is going to hit different

Right, no maze at the Stanley either
@@samanthab1923 now there is
That’s awesome 🎉🎉🎉
I love staying there! The staff were extremely sweet, too.
The frozen dead guy has not been properly frozen over the years. Whatever advances are made over the years, he isn't going to be revived.
Well they did say cloning was a hope too 😉

No he's literally going to be a completely different person it's just the body of him if they use DNA somehow. @@juliamelone8109
Hes probably allready reincarnated if thats a thing.
This is Really COOL ❤❤
If I woke up after being dead, I would be so disappointed ☹️
Quality comment. Very funny.
I am going to make you a cup of tea now... whether you want one or not! 🇬🇧
Interesting. I want to know why they have to be "head first" into that container. He rests in peace upside down.
Well, if he ever turns into a zombie it will at least slow him down from climbing out.

The applicants pay 100,000 dollars into a perpetual fund that keeps the cryocoolers running.
They're all dead so it doesn't matter
They’d be transferred to a different company like TransTime or the American Cryonics Society.
Been hearing about Frozen Dead Guy for years now, I'm glad he's been moved from a dodgy dry ice cooler to an actual liquid nitrogen dewer
He started out in a proper facility, but Grandson, Uwe, ran out of money and had to bring him to the shed.
Seriously!! I can’t defrost a pizza!!
Have you tried setting it to high? 😅
Too creepy for me!! I would never want to be cloned!
My soul wouldnt be in it!! How weird!
But what if your soul is cloned???

I know everyone says here's Johnny, but I like to say...how'd you like some ice cream, Doc?
Do you think first time watchers of the movie will get those references?
And u wonder why the place is haunted
I couldn't think of anything worse tbh, the world is already every man for himself right now so just imagine the future!

why not plug him in a whirlpool freezer?
Its not happening folks
At least make it see through and it be worth it . U just looking at a metal container . Make it class so people can see him . This makes no sense
What’s that blue bottle at the end?

It’s good they mentioned the almost 95 bankruptcy. King said it was run down when he stayed there.
Kings version of the movie is so much worse it's kind of ironic though 😅
ANYONE DOWN FOR A COLD ONE?
I’m sorry it’s just creepy
There are nuts around every corner
Now thats using your noggin !

So its basically Futurama 😂😂
