this sounds f****ng amazing! I'm trying to wrap my head around the interface here - did you pitch the drone voices before hand, and you're playing them with the buttons on the right? and the bass notes played with the keyboard, is coming from the solar as well? And what are the touch strips controlling? 😶 At first, I always thought these units were like SOMA Lyra, but with more options, but this sounds so much cooler!

      Much appreciated! 🙏
OSCs setup + tuned first, VCOs A+B form the brass lead performed via touch keys, VCOs 1-2-4 set as strings ensemble - triggered via right numerical keys, VCO 5 as bass drone - I shift the note from the SWING keys via CV.
Can't compare it to LYRA, different creatures! I don't see SOLAR as a drone synth but a versatile compact modular system and with its FX cartridges (+external sources) the possibilities seem infinite.. a sound designer's palette ✨

Hello, thank you very much for your video. I just received the 42F and have a question to ask. When I rotate the cutoff knob, there will be a rattling noise, especially in the Link state. The left cutoff knob will produce a piercing low-frequency noise when rotated. When I control the cutoff through LFO CV, there will be a rising sound like waves, which I think is normal. However, if I rotate the cutoff knob at this time, I will still hear the low frequency noise of stabbing and stabbing. When the rotation speed is fast, the sound will be obvious, but if I slow down the rotation speed, the sound will be much smaller. Excuse me, is this a normal phenomenon for the uploader? thank you

Hi, thank you! It would be easier to recognise the issue if you make a video but there should not be any odd or excessive noise while sliding the filter knobs.
To narrow the possibilities, disconnect all patch cables, check that any volume knobs are not overdriven, put BLEND and RES, DIST + GAIN to 0 and MIC PREAMP + EXTERNAL input off and any voice + noise generators off. With all sound sources off, see how the filters sound when you turn them, to be sure they are not producing any noise themselves. Then drone a simple SINE from VCOA at moderate volume and see how the filter rotation sounds. Optionally, check to see how the filters sound on a simple input also. If the filters themselves produce the unwanted noise, then it requires technical help from ELTA.
Sometimes noises are very accented if RES, DIST + GAIN are up and volumes overdriven. The only "issue" I noticed in the filters is a click when I turn them very low. If your noise issue is significant & inexplainable then you must contact ELTA music at their webpage!

@@RobertVadney Thank you very much for your reply and suggestion. It has been very helpful to me. I can still hear the sound even when almost all the settings you mentioned are reset to zero. I have also recorded a short video of this phenomenon and posted it on my homepage.

@ You’re welcome! I saw your video and there should not be any such noise with all voices & FX deactivated, so you should contact ELTA MUSIC at their webpage, explain the issue and include a link to your video. These things happen sometimes 🤷🏻
