2024 Naish ADX wing-surfer review / SUPboarder

- For 5 years we have been reviewing Naish wings, from the original Wing Surfer all the way up to the newest Matador LT. And it's fair to say that the basic elements of all these wings have been very similar…. until now! The new ADX is very different from the previous wings, with a more high aspect outline shape, a V dihedral making a tighter preloaded canopy and finished with hard handles. All this makes the ADX very different compared to the previous wings. The older Matadors worked well for many wingers, but as the sport progressed it was clear to see that they worked better in the surf than for pure all round freeriders. The New ADX really does plug the gap in the freeride market, where the Matador wasn’t able to keep up with the new generation of freeriders wanting to jump higher, fly faster or transition quicker.

So glad you discussed how close you can point to the wind!! Earlier reviews (and most reviews) fail to mention anything about this. In my limited experience, there is great variability between wing designs in upwind capability. PLEASE continue to cover this in every wing review going forward. An essential factor for those of us interested in navigating on our local bodies of water & coasts.
Yes its a major point to highlight, we will make sure we keep including it into the future too.

Hi, Im not 100% sure what you are asking , but for a first time wing for a 85kg rider a very popular size is 5m. But if the wind is always light. you could look at a 5.5m. Any help thanks Reuben
