Or, that Sean Monahan is not going to have the opportunity to play alongside his best friend again after signing in Columbus. Absolutely gut-wrenching feeling. I feel horrible for the family, friends, teammates and fans. Rest easy Johnny and Matthew. 13 forever.

Oettinger was amazing! Disappointing he had to lose in this fashion but he definitely has a career with Dallas after this performance. Bring on the battle of Alberta!

The fact that Oettinger almost saved that is freaking incredible. That's hands down the greatest goalie performance I have ever seen from the team losing the series. Even the freakin Predators might have beaten the Avs with him in next. Flames dominated virtually every aspect of the game all series, so it shouldn't have been close much less a game 7 overtime series. The only reason, Oettinger.

And with all respect I wouldn't feel nearly as bad for him if he actually just had support from his teammates but instead they all left him hanging.

Markstrom was also pretty brilliant throughout! Calgary demonstrated exceptional character in winning this series against an overachieving opponent.

I live in Ottawa so when that goal went in at 12:56 am, I had to really work hard to restrain myself. I fist bumped half a dozen times, throw my pillow off the bed, and then picked it up and muffle screamed into it with ecstasy. Had work in the morning though so I had to go to sleep 10 mins later. I’m an avs fan but to see them outshoot and outplay the stars 2/1 it would suck ass to see them loose. I’ll all about the better team winning. And that can change night to night. Stone didn't quite get the red line, from what I saw. Maybe the Stars player touched it on his release, and that negated icing? Not sure.
What if he has to interact with someone who is immunocompromised later, like someone who has had cancer? I don't quite get insulting someone for wearing a mask.
