I am 50 yrs old and bought a brand new non current 2014 yz 125 and it is an amazing bike! The stock pipe has so much bottom end power but the gearing is strange I hear 13-49 is the hot ticket. I ride on a pure sand track and this little bike has so much good rolled into it I don't need anything bigger unless I want to hurt myself again! Best bike to develop riding skills and stamina. Buy one you will be happy you did!!! Cheers
Richard John Smith How tall are you, and how much do you weigh? I am 1,92m tall and weigh around 95kg. I wonder if I would perform well on a 125. Today I ride a ktm400, but it is not what I want in a bike... very powerful... but also very heavy. Feels like a range rover on the track.

Good tracks ARE NOT PREPPED. This track had gnarly ruts and bumps everywhere. This is a good rider, who shreds regardless of that. Shotty riders can go fast on a good track

300cc 2 stroke sounds like a better ideas reason more torge more HP slightly faster acceleration slightly higher top speed but the weight is still the same but with more power to weight and a even more fun to ride
