I had the same issue with my Vivo x60. I took it to the Vivo service center and they changed the display free of cost even though my phone is not under warranty. It took only about 40 mins. Great service from Vivo.

Have you heard about the same in old phones like 4-5 years old one...I have started to hear this recently and I still own a op7pro, which works fluidly. I suspect some foul play from OEM's like what apple did to their old phones some years before, throttling processor speed and making the phones to intentionally phase out.

I had experienced the green line issue in my OnePlus 8T two times. I got the screen replaced by OnePlus both the times after inspection for physical damages, completely free of cost.

For me green line issue was there for s20+ and Samsung replaced the display free of cost. Till June 30 2023 (as per service center ) free display replacement campaign is going on if there is no physical or water damage.

Bro.. do you think only phones with variable refresh rate have this problem? This is the only display related tech that happened recently.
Non pro iphones with 60Hz have this issue. But I don't know if higher refresh rate contributes to this problem.
I got the same issue in my Oppo Reno 5 pro and service centre replaced the display without any cost even though it was not covered under warranty. They knew that it is a common issue due to software update.

എന്റെ samsung s22ultra യില്‍ മെയ് മാസം വന്ന update ചെയ്ത ശേഷം ഗ്രീന്‍ ലൈൻ ഇഷ്യൂ വന്നു. കൃത്യം 1 വര്‍ഷം 1 മാസം ആയി ഫോൺ എടുത്തിട്ട് വാറന്റി കഴിഞ്ഞു 😢

Poco, mi, realme ഇതുപോലെ ചില ബ്രാൻഡുകളുടെ ഫോണുകൾ. സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ അപ്ഡേറ്റ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ മദർബോർഡ് അടിച്ചു പോകുന്നുണ്ട്. ഈ ഫോണുകളുടെ OS root ചെയ്തു ചേഞ്ച് ചെയ്താൽ. പിന്നെ മദർ ബോർഡിനെ പ്രശ്നം വേരുമോ. ആർക്കെങ്കിലും ഇതിൻറെ ഉത്തരം അറിയുമെങ്കിൽ ഒന്ന് കമൻറ് ചെയ്യുമോ.
My sister got issue with front camera in her oneplus phone after software update. The front camera doesn't work now. Looks like the service center will not do anything on it(maybe because old phone). Did someone have the same issue ? Is there something we can do to fix it ?

I had an issue with green, pink, white lines too much on my oneplus 9r since after the update… and it’s out of warranty bought from Amazon… so I reached to nearest service centre they told to replace the display by paying 11.5K for it… I don’t have any option still using it with these irritating lines…

Bro.. you will get free replacement. Contact customer care. It's the fault from their side. My friend also faced the same issue and he contacted OnePlus Customer care and told that it's their issue and asked them to replace it. So they said to send the phone and they replaced the screen.
Explained well manner. In Malayalam no body has detailed about this issue this way.
Any way i had same issue one month back on S22 ultra model. Warrently was expired on feb 23. Contacted Samsung customer care agent proved its not happend from drop or fall dwn. As per the advice from the the agent submited the phone nearest service centre for physical rectification.
After few days of followup samsaung agent called daily to update the status and fainaly approved FOC disply change . ( initaly cost was asked 20k)
But now fear that again this issue will occure on new updation😊

I got my s20+ display replaced free of cost for 2 times....first time under warranty and second time (last month) out of warranty. The second time I could see the green line appearing live.

Sure, I will explain. I purchased my S20+ in Jan/Feb 2021. The screen got totally damaged due to the green line issue( then the whole screen turned white in 2 days after the lines appeared) in Nov 2021. The phone was under warranty and they replaced it free of cost. Note that for as per the information provided by the service center, screen replacement in premium segment phones include a free battery replacement.
Now in may 2023 (I think may 6 or 7) , a single green line appeared while I was watching a video. I was shocked because in March I purchased an S23 but did not exchange the s20+. I was disappointed with myself for not exchanging the s20+.
So the next day I emailed Samsung at the service head email address and explained everything in detail. I expressed my disappointment very clearly. The very next day I got a call from Samsung. They told me to take the phone to the service center and get it checked and get the service request number. (I had very clearly mentioned in the email that it is not possible for me as a customer to replace the screen by spending a huge amount). Over the call the executive promised me to take up the ownership of the issue.
So I took my phone to Samsung Service center, Palarivattom, Kochi, Kerala, India.
I told them what happened. They checked for physical damage. Since there was no physical damage, they created and gave me a job card which mentioned 0 as estimated cost of repair.
After 2 days they repaired the phone and I collected it from them.
As a customer I am extremely satisfied by the Samsung service team as a whole. Palarivattom service center guys were also very professional.
I asked them what exactly causes this issue. They said its beause of some display strip damage. Again I asked them so for how many times are you going to repair this free of cost. They said they will do it only till the end of this month. I don't think we can expect this free replacement for s20 series beyond June as the software support of this phone will come to an end soon. ( I think it will get firmware support for may be one year more)
