We’ve all had those little gremlins in our kiln. lol. Nice save. I am enjoying your videos. Not to be weird but you have a pleasant voice that is easy to listen to. Trust me I’ve watched hundreds of TH-cam videos and some voices not so much. I’ve got a lot more of your videos to watch but have liked what I have watched so far. Personally I like doing the silicone molds with modeling glass but you do a great job with the freeze and fuse. Thank you for sharing your art with us.
I added a reply from my phone but don’t know where it went. So again…Modeling glass is much more flexible than freeze and fuse. Once you take freeze and fuse out of the freezer you have to get it out of the mold and then leave it alone. With modeling glass you make up this “dough” and once shaped bake it in a craft oven. You can then fix any imperfections as it’s pretty solid. Yes it can still break off. I do a lot of numbers and letters from the alphabet and the fragile ones can still break. But I know how to fix them. Then fire in the kiln to turn it back to glass. You can roll it out and use cookie cutters, shape in silicone molds or shape into whatever. I can honestly say I will never go back to freeze and fuse. I’m not a seller of modeling glass. Just a retired lady who loves to do fused glass art. I don’t sell my art. I just gift it to friends and family or even nice people I meet when I’m out. If you want more information or if I can help you if you want to try modeling glass you can get in touch with me. Since TH-cam now has these handles instead of showing email addresses I’m not sure how that works. But bottom line is I’ve don’t a lot of modeling glass embellishments and have a lot of experience.
