MPG from the EPA is only an estimate and it's done from lab testing, Consumer Reports gets their numbers from real world driving. As a general rule none of the auto makers hits the numbers generated by the EPA.

Consumer Reports specifically states that this was one of the worst, over exaggerated claims they've had in recent years (obviously since Hyundai/Kia did the same thing in the past). They also specifically stated that most cars they test exceed the highway mpg, and yet this did MUCH poorer. Nice try, but try actually watching the Consumer Reports videos instead of commenting for no reason.
