- Highlights of last last weekends Oxford Winter League fishing for Colmic A4 on the River Thames at Culham. I was never sure if I should re ball it after the initial burst of activity so I tried it to see that would happen. I always expected bream to come from the end peg so I had to see if I could make something happen after I have fulfilled the team orders of DO NOT BLANK!!

@@stegrundy4014 Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like a awkward peg to fish that I fished that winterleague when it was teams of 12 for17 years
@@martinsmith3192 It was Martin, high bank and a tree above my head. I will return one day to cut out the bank a little more and lop off part of the tree on a working party :)
How do i get to fish this? Littlemore AC here
I am not sure as I was invited to fish it but there is an email at the bottom of the Angling Trust page here anglingtrust.net/our-competitions/coarse-competitions/winter-league/
@@thefishingstream thank you
Are you fishing tomorrow?
@@jamesdickie4874 Club match for me tomorrow James
Why not 1 ball every 10 mins?
Hi Patrick, good question and I would try and answering it by making a comparison to a Sunday roast. You load up your plate and then focus on eating everything, you don't pile on some potatoes, eat them and then some carrots eat them etc. You are trying to put down a bed of food that will draw in the fish and keep them occupied while you pick them off.
@@thefishingstream But! I never feed all in one hit. I feed little but often to keep them in the swim. Different thoughts I know.
@@patrickwalker2509 bites are more positive when fish are competing and for that you need to attract a volume of fish. Drip feeding as I would call it doesn’t achieve that - watch the start of a world championship and see those balls go in. The other thing is when you are feeding you are not focused on catching and that time lost is valuable. Try it next time your out :)
