Purely off throwing… yes he’s better… as a bears fan, although Daniels hasn’t played anyone terrific, I’m not calling it a done deal just yet as far as ROTY
It's weird watching Bears QB highlights that are this good. Caleb Williams is amazing and definitely THE man. Bears have to figure out how to win fast.
Despite how gut wrenching this season has been, williams is showing that the bears might finally be a team worth watching once they get a new HC but yeah good luck this Thanksgiving if you can try to survive against the Lions which let's face it they haven't even won on thanksgiving in 8 years
I know, it's astounding what I read all over the internet. People talk about him like he's Ryan Leaf and if you push back even in the slightest, they'll do the typical, "You're a casual that doesn't watch ball" bullcrap.
Caleb's legit. While Cutler had legit NFL talent too, Caleb's talent ceiling and leadership ceiling are higher. The Washington, GB and Vikings losses have been brutal, good days are ahead once we get an NFL-caliber O-line and NFL-caliber HC.
He has 1 interception in his last 8 games as a rookie. He's taking care of the ball and pushing things increasingly downfield. There's still some rookie mistakes in him, the sack in overtime was a perfect example of him holding the ball for too long, but that will come with experience. I'm very excited.
People don't realize that he's a rookie he's not meant to dominate the league in year one the game is faster and you have to make decisions quick. Not everyone can have a first season like cj stroud unless you have a great line. We don't so he using. His mind quicker. He's going to be great you can tell. I honestly still think he will be the best qb in this class after a couple years.
That is what I’m beginning to say is Caleb’s trademark move, the throw like that, he’s done it a couple times with the bears so far and he did it in college too
@@blankname6629 The Vikings dropped 8 guys into coverage, the Bears only had 3 guys running routes... you're not going to win 3 vs 8 very often. It's just really bad coaching.
When the offense plays good the defense plays bad, when the defense plays good the offense plays bad. If they both play good, special teams is here to ruin the day.
Love how people who hated on him, saying they should have kept fields, are on his ball sack now. Justin fields rookie season 7 tds 10 interceptions. William's 11 tds 5 interceptions and on pace for 3500 yards. People, man, I swear.
People calling him a "bust" aren't talking now. You can't really label a player a bust or success in the middle of their rookie year lol. Those tight window throws were nice af. this tho 0:46 gees!!!🔥Swift redeemed himself, because he didnt chip block.. that was about to be a easy sack, if Caleb didnt scramble out of it. ----. btw....Caleb has rarely had accuracy issues, which makes me wonder why he was so accurate vs a Great Flores defense, yet not vs weaker teams. Cant wait to see Caleb next szn with a better OL and HC. im curious if theyll resign ALlen, at least on a 1-2 year deal....but i doubt it. Having the same trio of receivers would be great for Calebs growth.
I say if nothing else go get Jon Gruden. Hed prob be on a revenge tour if the Bears hired him after what happened, and he's a solid coach. Runner ups could be Ben Johnson(dont know if he'd take the job) or Brian Flores.
Just think if the team had a solid O-line and CW had time to drop back and our WRs had time to make a move and get open. The root problem with the team is the line, it's been that way since Jay Cutler and they haven't fixed it yet. On the plays he does have some time as in the video, you see him make great passes.
Caleb needs to be come more consistent. Where he shows flashes, he also misses on throws. Hopefully this was the season of growth for him and next year we can upgrade on coaching, OL and DL to come back stronger.
Caleb has not even scratched the surface yet.
Just wait until the bears have a good line and can actually run the ball. Caleb will be unstoppable
