    I came across this channel and I did not know whom Meghan was and I am very Proud of her sharing her most darkest and vulnerable incidents in her life! I am also, a SA Survivor and I had a brother whom died tragically and I tell people all the time that I am soo Surprised that my life didn’t turn out tragically wrong. I am cheering Meghan on in her life, and I am wishing her and anyone whom reads this post much happiness, peace and kindness into her/your life.

    What she’s saying about the adhd brain taking drugs to regulate emotions is true,I fought and fought for years for my own daughter and she was labelled as a badly behaved kid ..as her mum I knew thee was more too it ..she was finally diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and adhd but by that time it was too late she was in active addiction ..addiction is a horrible disease that affects the whole family

    Been through a similar situation with a sibling! It’s so hard and people don’t get it and they say why don’t you do something and help them with the addiction and mental health. People don’t have any idea how hard it is to try to help someone who has no intention to help themselves. And when you are trying to live your own life and you are constantly distracted pulled back because it’s always on the back of your mind. Not easy at all. Totally feel for her so much. Gone through more than I did and I find it hard. Proud to see her just talk about it and raise the awareness so other know your not alone ❤

    I once had an un-known affair... arround the age of 21ish & he said the exact same thing "it's over we have been split for over a year I'm only staying there because the house is caught up in the divorce & I can't afford to move out & pay the mortgage" he said it on the first date so I assumed he was being upfront like he could have hid it for a few weeks until we got more serious! 🤦‍♀️

    Such an articulate and educated woman who just exudes strength. Some of the comments from the host who did all the talking were shocking regarding her decision not to report her abusers. The other host seemed more clued in about the reality of the justice system, but didn’t have an opportunity to speak. In another comment here you said “we’re not counsellors”, but the role of a podcast host isn’t to counsel. If you are going to approach people to interview them, you need to do your research and preparation. It’s not about being PC, it’s having the emotional bandwidth to approach complex subjects with the same grace as the person you are interviewing.
    Also, there is no debate needed when it comes to violence against women so to come out with “not all men”… of course it’s not all men, but the r@pists don’t wear special signs so we have to be weary of all of you. It is exhausting to exist as a woman with the constant worry of ‘what if’.

    • @johiley4787
      @johiley4787 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally agree with these comments the podcast hosts when choosing to interview survivors of complex abuse and trauma appeared ill-informed and uncomfortable discussing rape, abuse and trauma.

    Society doesn't teach us what rape or sexual assault is or how the opposite sex functions. Therefore it has become normalised as sexualisation is advertised. Additionally we are not taught how sex includes being mindful to see how a person reacts. For instance, being asleep (unless prior agreed by your partner) and saying no, no matter how far or obvious signs the other is not involved by pulling away, crying, silence etc.
    I can't grasp how in these circumstances having sex or any act would make the controlling one feel good.

    To the host, you were rude and old school and judgemental to her when she talked about how she dealt with her r@pe and when she mentioned twin flame you acted like she's an idiot. Educate yourself! She's an intelligent, beautiful woman who's strong and over came alot in a positive way.

    • @the_bearpodcast
      @the_bearpodcast  ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Jacqueline you have to understand we are not trained councillors, you are correct we are old school we don't always know the best way to approach things but we try to be as genuine as we can be we were completely disgusted and so sorry for Meghan but we were talking from an anger perspective and a maybe a male perspective we wanted him punished am sorry if that's wrong to you but majority of people agreed with us. We have some pressure to be so PC all the time but truth is we are just two ordinary lads trying our best. Regarding educating ourselves we are always open to growth and learning but twin flame is not something we knew anything about but your quick to talk about judging while judging us is a tad ironic. We are just doing our best and hopefully give Meghan the platform to help others in similar situations and we are proud of that. All Love Bear & Scully

    I love this podcast. However, every episode seems to go from whisper quiet to ABSOLUTE SCREAMING. I can’t hear 25% of it and another 25% is so loud that it’s triggering my sensory processing disorder. If this were a one off, it wouldn’t be worth mentioning; but, it seems to be every episode. Anyone else having this problem?

    I was sexually abused at 15 by my step father, I was told by the male police officer that he was an adult and I was a child and because there was no physical evidence I wouldn't of won the court case so don't even bother as it was an adults word agaisnt a child...

    • @CalmWithTheWorldAtLast

      I was sexually abused for 2 years by my priest school teacher. When I was 25 I went to the police and have evidence. A few months later it went to court and by then I was pregnant with my youngest child. It was brutal but 2 weeks after he was born, my abuser was sentenced on historical crimes (Google John Alway Bristol supply teacher…he wasn’t a supply teacher until after many of us first victims told on him to the head who poo-pooed us and didn’t believe us, my abuser then went on to become a supply teacher). What I’m trying to say is if your willing or able to, you can always go to the police because they have to look into historical events. I support you and believe you my lovely x

    • @Fanitian
      @Fanitian 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Shocking.. Alot of bad police officers. Mine after the court case, told me post I was a bad witness, it was odd as I use food to bottle up my feelings & the only way I'd forget is if I got amnesia. He then bragged infront of others how on a different case they won. I just wanted to raise how I felt the system wasnt sympathetic enough as I was told the outcome over the phone when I was on my own in public, during the case I was thrown in at the deep end as introduced to people in court, no idea who was who, it didn't register nor did I meet my lawyer & she only got the case in the morning, so how could she have been prepared. I would never have gone to court if I someone else didn't report it as it. All I came out with was no justice & a broken relationship as my partner couldn't deal with it.
