Hey there Jeffers Farrier Services, I hope you're all well and good! I've noticed something that you do, and I doubt anyone else has noticed or commented on it. When removing the shoe, you clip the nails first, which most do, but when pulling the shoe with your nippers, you support the hoof with your other hand, which most others don't do, and sometimes they really have to yank down on the Fetlock and Pastern, which is not a natural motion. Could you do a video to explain why horses need shoes, why they’re metal, if carving the foot hurts at all? Things like that. Just having a video explain things you know that other people don’t would be interesting
Its doesnt hurt at all. Some need shoes because the hoofes are too soft and they rub to much hoof of , they can be overly sensitive or work on hard ground and need protection.
May I ask, does anyone know if he does videos on horses that aren't as well behaved when being handled? I'd love to see how you can handle a horse that isn't as calm as these ones
