    Very impressive. Sometimes, I wonder why they give Nobel prize to someone (or some people) whose discovery(ies) are beyond most people's comprehension. I remember the trio getting the Nobel Prize, but never understood the significance of Attosecond, until I saw this video. Maybe Nobel Committee should consider making videos (even from LMES) and releasing to public as to what the Nobel Prize awardees discovered and how it is meaningful for people!
    Great video. Thank you.

      Guys, there is no theory or experiment stated that uncertainty principle is wrong. Atto second is not enough to disprove uncertainty. It has to be less than planck scale

  • @vinnytryclyst
    @vinnytryclyst ปีที่แล้ว +11

    The uncertainty principle is not about our inability to measure quantities precisely. It is a fundamental property of quantum particles. Unless quantum mechanics is superseded by another theory, it is not possible to overcome the uncertainty principle no matter how precise your measurement is.
    Einstein never said anything about the photoelectric effect being instantaneous. With the measurement devices available at the time, the effect looked almost instantaneous to experimenters. In fact, Einstein’s general theory of relativity is based on the idea that no physical process can be instantaneous. The speed of light is the limit.

    These scientific findings will be revolutionary for the entire research domain, not only in medical science but also in material science. They address untapped corners of material behavior in areas such as battery technology, fuel storage and production, corrosion studies, and alloy research. Understanding material behavior and reactions will enable us to design more precisely. These findings will undoubtedly upgrade Scanning Tunneling Electron Microscopes and Transmission Electron Microscopes. Great effort, LMES! Your videos sometimes keep me updated and upgraded in my research as a materials science researcher.

    Thanks for the simple and good explanation of the difficult concept to the common people. I don't agree with the fact that Einstein(all other physicists) is wrong. Because, his theory and understanding are merely explained with the type of experiments that were possible at that time. Had it been incorrect, many applications based on that would never have worked so far. It's like we are updating the knowledge of atoms better day by day, who knows in the future physicists might justify a new and different theory altogether.

  • @hejoz20
    @hejoz20 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Good explanation, I will make it clear here-------The discovery of Attosecond laser dosent change the fact that photoelectric effect is a instantaneous process as it occurs in femtosecond scale that delay which was observed in attosecond scale is negligible, and secondly you cant measure the exact position and momentum using the attosecond lasers too at this moment of discovery, because there is a large contrast between precision about position and the momentum............lets try to measure the position of the electron using attosecond laser, you will only get the approxiamate position of the electron at a specific time (called high precision in time) and now trying to measure the momentum (energy of photon) here the broader the range of frequencies absorbed by the electron the lesser you will know the individual photon energy (momentum), broader range of photon energies limits the knowledge of its exact momentum at that instant. Hence according to law of quantum mechanics disturbing something to mesure a quantity will disrupt some other property of the system...

    According to the cosmological principle, the universe looks the same everywhere because space is isotropic and homogeneous, which means one direction in space is identical or equivalent to any other direction. If so, then when we measure a receding galaxy from us at any point in the universe, we might get the same result about the expansion of the universe as our milky way. If two observers measured the expansion of the universe at two separate points, what kind of results would they get? Does it cause discrepancies in measurement?? how do I understand?
